Bringing my first gen from the great rustless south up to the salt belt, I'd like to protect my bed from rust in all the places the paint has been nicked from conventional pickup truck use.

However I appreciate the consistency of the plastic liners, how they hold objects but also allow them to be slid.

Any recommendations for spray (can, I don't have a compressor) or roll on bedliners that can achieve this consistency?

    Thanks

Monstaliner is what comes to mind. It has a smother texture IIRC

About 12 cases of gloss restoleum. Fully coat bed and repeat process over the period of a few weeks until paint is 1/8" thick

I did my entire truck with Raptor Liner, using a spray gun. However, I wanted a smoother finish, and used about 3 oz of reducer per quart bottle of Raptor, and it laid down pretty smooth. I imagine that you could get the same result if you were rolling it on.

after spending too much time perusing the Internet I went with this option. It turned out great! Exactly what I was looking for, and it was pretty easy rolling it on. Very similar consistency to the oem plastic tailgate cover. Thanks!
