The installed vent is a one-way vent to allow pressure to release inside the pumpkin so as not to blow the oil out of the seals. Sometimes that vent gets clogged and allows pressure to build up and push the oil past the seals. Plus it can get stuck OPEN and now water can get inside the pumpkin. The newer vent is 2 way and allows it to breathe and is way high.

I have not seen any discounts noted anywhere, maybe a Black Friday sale on the website soon?

Victory 4X4 bumper install. It is the blitz. There was about 1 minute of cutting and its not something anyone would see. I like it overall and the weight doesn't seem to bring down the front of the truck. I have not installed a winch yet. Install take a couple hours if you go slow, I kept watching the install video and just went step by step. Per the video I should have had some washers in the parts box but they did not include any. Other then that it was fine.

Tossed some Eibach Pro Sport shocks on the back of my cement truck today. 45 minutes and pretty basic. It already feels more cushy. Like a childhood dream. Hopefully I get the time to drop the front struts in tomorrow.

Speaking of..... any thoughts on adjusting the hood / fender gap? My trucks only 6 months old so maybe I just have the dealer do it. The gap down one side is like 1/8” and the other sides like 3/8”! I’ve thought about trying to loosen the bolts and see if it will “slide over” 1/8” but I’ve never adjusted a hood. Open to input.

Prop open the hood with a piece of 2x6 so most of the weight is in the front (and not loading the hinges). Loosen the bolts until they're hand-tight then slowly move the hood over. Remove the 2x6, close the hood, and check the gaps. You may need to loosen the hood latch bolts and reposition that as well.
