    ABORT. My stripped bolt is a bracket in the front, that will be completely borked and removed with the aftermarket skids. Problem solved. No need to give a shit. Will probably get skids over the winter and refinish my sliders at the same time, and mount them together after doing fluid film in the spring. Keeps the weight down for a road trip in the winter, too.

    Was literally about to state this. Just another reason for me to get skids as I have one that is stripped as well

    I thought you were buying an (another) infinity instead

    :boink::boink::boink::boink:

    I know @m603holden had a skid plate debacle recently, I'll find out what his plan is but if you're all doing skids we can see if we can do a group buy/ship thing or something like that. I'll be trolling around facebook/here/craigslist but not banking on finding anything. There's also a chance I take a road trip in the spring, would put me through the carolinas so I would consider SOS and just swing by, ask if I can put them up in the parking lot there :notsure: I'll give them a call and see what my options are.

    didn’t you say you had an ME degree? Options are endless there man. We had two QEs with a BSME leave on their own recently during the middle of a pandemic. People want MEs especially in QA. Wife is going back to school for PT so once the loans are paid off we’ll be in a similar boat though. She’ll probably outearn me and I can buy trok stuff and bike stuff and she does the work :rofl:

    (we also have zero children)

    Yup I am. I'll probably be on the chopping block in 6 months to a year is my guess but time will tell. Frankly everybody is getting frustrated with the new company so I might just leave before then but I'd like to give it some timeseeing as my commute is 10 minutes and I'm allowed to work from home.

    Some people thought the answer they wanted was the wrong one, IE yes means no

    Scare tactics big time.

    Look up the commercial on Youtube that talks about how much each company contributed to it, you'll see

    I was very happy with my Sierra for 3 years too then BLAMMO! I'm happy again now that the trans is fixed, I actually like the truck, but with GM it's just waiting for the next shoe to fall. That's probably the motor... I am very close to just ordering a '21 Lariat with the 5.0 and trade before powertrain warranty is up. It may in fact happen in the next few weeks. Or not.

    It worked out dumb luck that it was some kind of GM product, but when I was doing auctions it gave me less choices per se over that.

    Same, though I have a cougar

    Same reason I dropped my 06 Colly after the engine. Being told "normal" tells me the rest of it probably ain't built to last much more

    15 minutes but can’t work from home. Without kids though honestly I like to go into work. In the May timeframe it was nice to have normalcy during lockdown. I never got the weird feels of lockdown because I was still going to work every day on a normal schedule, working with all the people I normally work with. I’d get home and walk the dog in the woods, alone whether lockdown or not. So, it was oddly nice. But if I had kids I’d be wanting to be at home for sure.

    I can't afford a Superduty with the package I want and I cant come to grips that I need a 3/4 ton for towing the toys I have. A good half ton should serve my needs but a lot are telling me towing 12 to 16 thousand miles a year is Superduty territory. I hope not. They don't daily as well and they are too expensive. I mean I could afford it but I'd rather not to be honest.
