didnt read closley bout the after the snow, but doing a donut on dry asphalt id say is bad, having your stearing locked one way and then spinning the tires yea id say thats big time stress on your rear end if you have your rear locked, ive read stuff on this forum that says you shouldnt even turn hard with the rear locked because of the stress it puts

Turning while locked means the tires hop because they can't turn at the same speed. If both tires are locked and...get this.... SPINNING.... aren't they going the same speed? There's no wheel hop due to uneven load caused by the wheels trying to spin at different speeds. Hell, if both tires are spinning you could probably stand next to the truck and push it sideways.

Regardless, you're trying to say donuts are bad without actually reading what I said.

ok so now how do you start doing donuts, dont u have to have the wheel turned and get the truck goin before u actually start to spin the tire?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AA43tTcoIcw?fs=1

not the best donuts but u see wat i mean by them not having the tires spinning right on the get go?

In my opinion, I don't see much of a point of a truck if its 4x2. My friend has a 01 Prerunner and he gets stuck just parking in grass because of having no weight over the back wheels.

Well yeah hes a pretty bad driver. Hes selling his truck, that isnt paid off, for a more expensive 4x4 just because of his terrible driving.

4x2 here, Didn't need 4wd. I've owned 4wds since 1976 and can say that it's saved me only a few times from walking. Got tired of the expense of dragging a drive train around I don't use, plus the added cost and maintenance of said drive train. Grew up with that" a man needs a big ass truck to run around in", lift them high add all kinds of neat shinny things to them and of course the best of tires and bolt ons. Been driving for more years than most here are old. I know how to get by in 2wd off-road. Needed a more fuel efficient truck that would last to pull my boats and small trailer around. 2wd fit the need.

I pulled out of my driveway during a bit of a snowstorm and pulled behind a sweet black on black Tacoma. Then I realized it was a PreRunner. It was at that point I started laughing to myself. In LA a prerunner would be sweet, in Montana its worthless
