Anyone fit 285/75/16 on this kit? I have the stage 4 set up from runnin4tacos with SPC upcs. Preferably looking at either KM3s or Ridge Grapplers.

Those are 275/70/16’s. 31’s if I remember correctly. They’re pretty low on tread with only about 4mm left. Probably gonna see about getting 33s on there if they’ll fit and if not I’ll go with 32s

Appreciate you. Doing the same size tire. Glad I have a picture to refer to. Thanks!

Got my 6112/5160’s installed this week - set at 5/4 on 650lb coils. So far so good, need to hit some dirt this weekend.

Did you swap the UCAs or did you stick with the stock ones?
    TIA!

How does it ride with the 650 coils? I don’t have my swaybar so I’m considering the 650lbs.

Rides great! No trails yet though and I’m coming from Sport suspension - everything feels less harsh than stock to me, even with the extra beef. It corners just as well on pavement as stock Sport (which I liked) but damping is much better and with less nose dive. I added SPC UCA’s too, hoping they compensate a little for any loss in travel performance from the stiffer coils. Planning to add a bumper+winch anyways but wouldn’t be too worried if I didn’t.

    Hope that helps.

It rides great if you have the weight in the front to support it. I have a dclb with a bumper, skid trio, and sliders. I am fixing to do a bumper as well. I put 600 coils in before all of those things, then added those things and it sank 3/4". Then I moved in 650lb coils and it went right back up to my initial numbers before I added weight. Rode the same. And btw, I have not had the swaybar in since I initially put on the lift.

So after a few days I’m not loving em so much anymore. Small bumps are controlled but very stiff. Still haven’t taken it into dirt yet, that will be this weekend out at box canyon. I’m looking into different spring options to get the height I want while being able to lower the setting on the 6112s. 9/10 people say the ride at the top setting is uncomfortable and stiff and I’m with em now. Hopefully a lower setting with soften em up a bit, that’s what they say. Who knows and I will let you know. Just wanted to give you an update on my experience.

So I made the same mistake of torquing down the LCA bolts while raised. I know tools but I’m a novice in mechanics. Is that a legitimate reason for being maxed out and a stiff ride? I feel like I’m having the same issue. Have mine at 6/5 setting

Thanks for the heads up. Was thinking about doing 6/5. But now leaning towards 5/4. Maybe 5/5. Hopefully it settles a bit more. But yes, keep me posted! Thanks!

Ah, interesting. So you ran 600lb springs with no swaybar. I’m torn between these and Fox. My biggest concern is controlling the amount of sway. My 5100s are completely trash/trashed. So I sway around like a boat in a hurricane.

Since you live in Cali.....Fox is a decent way to go. The main reason why I went with the 6112's is due to the lifetime warranty, the problems with rusting with Fox suspension here in New England due to being in the Salt belt, and how with Fox you most likely will need to rebuild them in a couple years, but I haven't had any issues at all in 3 years and counting. The swaybar was a personal choice. Some say to take it off, some say leave it on. My aspect is this. It is still my daily driver, and I go offroading about once a month. I watch my speed and always slow down coming off of offramps. I have read too many issues with clunking regarding the swaybar hitting the shocks, and I knew that I could put it back on at anytime. I made that decision 3 years ago and never looked back. Some have a different opinion or recommendation, I am just giving you mine regarding my experience and driving style.

Much appreciated. I go out once a month as well, took off the sway bar and have done well. But I feel like my 5100s have completely degraded. I’d say they have about ~20k I actually blew one up already and swapped it out. I think the biggest thing with 6112s for me is the price and not having to rebuild them..

I’m running 6112/5160 Dakar medium pack and was spraying my leaf pack the other day to get rid of the damn squeaks. Noticed my parking brake cable is worn thru the outside case/sleeve, anyone else experiencing this? Any good remedies to alleviate the cable rubbing against the leaf pack?

    Thanks

I actually use black heavy duty zip ties with my heavy Dakar pack and never had any issues.
