Just tuned mine last weekend! Just used one of their stock tunes because I am not savvy with this kind of stuff. It rides waaay smoother! Love it so far.

?? using the 2.0 USB connection on the computer? 3.0 usually ends in failure. Or you upgraded your OS version and you now have a different Computer ID. ?? If you just had an OS system update the virus software has more and new steps to turn off before you can flash - mine just updated yesterday and they are different than two days ago.

Whew. Long night. But got a 04B31 tune updated to @Mooseditty17 awesome tune. Also with @Mooseditty17 / @tonered air load control tables.

Going to flash the truck tomorrow and test it over the weekend. Pretty excited to see how it goes!

hey guys, do we have a good ETA on when the 'compare' tool on VFTuner is going to be working again? I remember seeing something a few days ago from Mat saying that he knows the cause (float comparisons being off by some miniscule decimal), but this didn't get fixed in 1.2.7.0 right?

Hint: If you change them do they also change your primary shift 1 tables?

Not quite sure on the purpose of having two maps that do the exact same thing tho..

I have had that at times. Just keep trying. Be sure that you give the Taco a few seconds to initialize. I wait until it is done bonging. Be sure the ignition is On without the motor running.

In 04A61 they update automatically from the primary upshift 1 table. I think they are just a legacy table from when there was only 1 shift schedule.

    You're welcome!

Good stuff. A jump pack in non-boost mode helped me with a TSB flash.

When I flash other trucks I put a battery jump on them for the process just to be safe.

I was a little worried about my pack lasting the time it takes for a TSB Update on an AT, but it was a champ. The CUW won't load if the volts are below a cutoff. Something like 11.5v or 11.8v?

I haven't seen an OVT flash not kick off for that reason, but this ECU is whacktastic.

I think it helps the ECU default to primary shift tables

Can someone verify the latest release of VFTuner?

    I have 1.2.7.0

I downloaded from an old email that Mat sent, but want to verify that is the latest release.

    Thanks,

    John

That version was just posted last Saturday. The links to the download will get you the latest version.

If I wanted to make the ECT "On" Shifting to lock out 6th gear for when I have the camper on, how would that be accomplished?

    Thanks in advance,

    John

I see. Looks like you’re running one of moose’s files. Yeah, they’re great files on my truck too. Itching to flash the mild and wild variant after hearing all the feed back. Just hard to bring myself to doing it since the one I’m running works so well. Only thing I’d change is getting it to hold 3rd gear longer. And maybe more TC lock up in ECT.
