OP updated. V2's available. I've been slowly chipping away at the remaining material I had on the shelf for these ... and finally ready to put em up for sale.

Every half inch is very noticeable. The stack of washer test is the best way to know for individual folks though. Wood shims or anything else that you can shove under the rear fittings is easy enough to try out.

It depends. I'm absolutely comfortable stock, but my wife couldn't do more than a few miles in the passenger seat. The spacers make it comfortable for her.

You're power seat will take care of this for you, but only on the drivers side.

So extra 1” for your wife? Or 3/4” gets the job done?

I believe I tested 0.5in initially, and ended up starting with 1.0in. Then after some time, finalized at 1.5in. I could easily feel the difference with each change.

What is it your wife found uncomfortable. My fiancé's feet don't touch the ground well. I've been thinking about if lifting the rear of the seat would help, my alternative is just shaping a 1/4" piece of plywood to put in the floorboard when she's riding and cover it with outdoor carpet.

She has struggled with lower back and hip pain for a while now. It is funny that I cannot drive her Subaru out of our neighborhood without drastic changes to the seat settings that make her comfortable. For her, it was mainly the seat bottom angle that was the challenge.

The place to start is the plywood. Test it up front and under the rear seat fittings. That will lead you either to the answer or what height of spacers to get.

So, with included replacement bolts which are flanged, washers are optional or not recommended? I assume trying to remove OEM washers is a bad idea? Any spec on washers if they are ok to add? Or would they be pointless?

    Keep torque at 37 Nm?

There were no washers on mine, just the flanged bolts. They will not change the torque.

Separate question, thinking about re-using the fine thread seat bolts for my bed stiffeners b/c they are beefy and black, safe to assume M14 x 1.5mm based on the 14mm socket? Caliper measures the shank at 9mm and shank + threads at more like 9.5mm

I don't think the shank is gonna work. The metal is thin. I think you will want full thread screws.

If I understand your concern correctly,I think I’m fine. OEM with washer has plenty of thread and I have full thread from the molle panels I had to remove to install the risers. 3/16” stiffies have lots of meat. Planning D ring brackets behind the sheet metal.

Think I just really need the proper nuts and this is a good plan.
