Ooooh. not a bad idea for a sub 24 as a shakedown. winter is approaching fast so my time for trying that is quickly closing. :/

What do you folks think is more desired on the used market: wheelset with microspline or wheelset with HG driver?

Anyone that has expressed interest in the i9 wheelset I have for sale, now would be a good time to put in your vote.

crest as an overnighter? interesting idea...

depends on the wheelset? I'm not sure. the microspline is definitely shimano only which some people really like. the HG gets you...nx/sx.....personal preference I suppose. I haven't heard nor felt a strong preference in the market for either direction. :/

I'd just let the buyer decide.

I think the demand base will be much larger on the HG driver option.

I would...if I had both on hand and could use either. A new wheelset that I’m looking at potentially buying has an HG driver, which is useless for me. But if others could use it, I'd jump on it.

I might be head in the clouds but I kinda think what I'm asking for the wheelset I have for sale is a pretty good deal. If I can sweeten it by putting a new driver on there for the new buyer, its even better for them.

I see, that's an awesome deal for someone. If the hub was correct for me I'd probably drive over there and pick them up.

if it was a SB+ hub you probably wouldn't be selling.

I feel like if someone is putting a high quality i9 wheel set on their bike they might be looking at an XD or microspline driver since those are what let you put on the better drivetrain. But I could definitely be off on that one.

    I'm side railing y'all again.

Yeah, winter fuel blends BUT also just being colder borks your mileage too. Takes more gas to just stay warm.

Right now I just have a pivot table. My fill ups also drive my maintenance schedule too, tells me if I'm upcoming on oil change, etc. Pulls my last full up date and odometer and compares it to the last date and miles of a bunch of lines for service.

Ignore July 2020 right now. I did a road trip and ran the truck overnight for the A/C. Working on a solution for THAT if I do more road trips, so there's a few entries of like <5 MPG in there.

    ....yes I'm a nurd.

Anyone in here from Austin area? Other than Spider Mountain. Looking to make the big move down south. Wondering if there's places to ride without driving >1 hour. Also might hold off on swapping down from my HT until I know what I can ride down there if it needs a FS or I can keep the hard tail style going. Less moving parts.

Does anyone have any leads or information on where the 2021 bikes are, or when they're going to hit stores? I'm been looking around for a 29er and everyone is still out of stock with no idea when new stock will arrive in stores.

The short answer is late 2020, early to mid spring 2021 for most stuff.

Depending on what brand/model you’re looking for, maybe longer.

Personally I would say microspline just due to rarity. Had a hard time finding any wheelset used with microspline so I just bought from that builder

What would an X01 group set be worth?

New cranks and chainring, 300 miles on derailleur, chain, shifter, and GX Cassette 10-50.

About time for a new bike. Or at least make up my mind so I have one for next season.

Any reason I should be talked out of a Transition Scout XT build? ...aside from the lead time.

Also kinda eying an SB140 or a Norco Sight.

Damn, Was just down there riding this weekend. Shouldn't brought the camera with me.

Haha too late. Bought the wheelset with the HG. I’ll be swapping the drivers and making an official sale post when I get the new set.

I don't have a ton of time on Sram drivetrain and brakes, but what time I do have tells me to stick to Shimano. :p

I have the new scout with gx and I don’t think you could go wrong with any option. I love it but some of that is confirmation bias. :D
