For reference. Thinking I'm going to try and return them as I don't love the idea of the sleeves, and have that much less thread on the screw holding it on. Maybe I'm overthinking that?

Also, did you guys put a new dust sheild on? With the discount they were like $12/each so i bought them but boy oh boy does it look like a pain to take off and put on.

are you referring to the caliper piston dust? If so it’s fairly easy off.

for the dust shield for the rotor it’s not too bad but you mainly need to pop the hub off swap them out back on.

I was just referring to having to pop my hub off in order to replace this dang shield to fit the bigger rotor. Alternatively, I could just cut the old one.

Looks like getting this 14mm OD 12mm ID aluminium sleeve is going to take 3 weeks to get in Vancouver Canada, we dont run metric, and the equivalent in imperial obviously wont work.

Whats weird was when I spoke with the toyota guy this morning, he confirmed that the part number I have is indeed for the 10-15 4runner. So is the 14WA the 16+?? Not according to what most people have said

The older ones are 14WA, the newer ones are 14WB. However, if you order new calipers from Toyota, they will say 14WB whether the have the 12mm or 14mm holes. They come out of the same mold and the holes are drilled afterwards. Look at the part number on the box to know if it's correct, not the casting number.

Just to make it crystal clear:

    14WA: 12mm Holes
    14WB: 12mm or 14mm Holes

Good info. Anything to help confirm you have 12 mm vs 14mm?
If you get the RR kit yes you could go that.

Main is the RR Kit (lines are additional but yes you should get them) If you are lifted a good time to get extended ones.
Dust shield is optional but will cover the rotor. You will still need to cut it since the calipers are longer
Rotor can be any T4R rotor. I have stoptech now and will be replacing with DBA4000 rotors.

One thing to note is if you have spindle gussets you will need to trim off a corner of the adapter as it will not as is

Also do not forget the brake fluid.

If you want you can get pretty much all but the shields from RR racing to make it easy.

I checked with a guy I know that works in the parts dept for Toyota and at least based on this it seems like either the parts guys do not know whats up. they use the same but in the system the part number are pretty clear and x300 (should have been only 13WA) is the pre 16 and xxx350 is the 16+ (was 13WB). If they are now 13WB thats a first i have seen 2 part numbers use the same.

Order the part numbers for the calipers you want/need, or measure the holes.

I just tested. PN 47730-60300 and 47750-60300-both14WB on them. I have a broken lug bolt form my brother-in-law's mini which is 14mm in diameter. It did not fit in the caliper holes. Can provide pix if needed.

yah I believe it but def is confusing for those trying to pick up calipers. Even the part numbers in the toyota part DB show different and my understanding was that was the big difference 12 vs 14.

So might be a bit trickier to identify it if someone has a set.

I should go look at the boxes. I had Centric's on mine too (FYI for anyone Centric owns Stoptech)

Alright I know it was discussed in here and not sure if there was another thread about it. But did anyone ever try swapping the master cylinder from the 5th gen 4Runner for those of us with the electronic booster that can’t do the sequoia swap?

Has anyone experienced excessive warping with this set up? My rotors keep warping every 3-4k miles. I do get on them at times but felt the factory set up I had never really warped this bad, if ever. I did power stop brand pads, rotors, and calipers just in case that makes a difference.

Is it better to source used or reman?
Having trouble finding a decent price on used

    is there a VIN split?
When searching on carpart, it acts like there's a different version starting 2015
but to my knowledge all 5th gen 4runners are supposed to use the same brake...

Since little is mentioned (unless I missed it) about upgrading to the tundra booster/master, can I assume that most people on this thread have not upgraded their Booster/Master and are still happy with the performance increase?

Not everyone can. If you have Offroad with ATRAC you are kind of stuck. I have tundra booster and master. I am putting a GM one ton master on later. I have 37s, all around discs. 14WA calipers up front.
