More option in a 17" and if you do a brake upgrade 16s probably won't fit. Just my .02

going to leave the truck mostly stock for a while but I'm not a big fan of the 2nd gen 17 inch sport wheels I have on there now.

Couldn't agree more. Not bad in black tho. First thing I did was switch out my wheels, brake upgrade is easy and I needed a new caliper anyway and it stops way better.

Don't know if @woodlandtaco sold theirs already.

If not, there's always OEM sets hitting craigslist and facebook.

I've been keeping an eye out, but people seem to think 16" 3rd gen OR wheels are worth $1200 with bald tires haha.

dude I’m with you. I’m looking all the time and all I see are $1000+ ads. Can’t quite bite that bullet when I see folks listing their take offs for like 500 in the buy sell forum on here

I would be happy with 6. Even the reduced price sets are still like 900 or 600 with bald tires

The forums and FB Marketplace are two totally different worlds. The forum is about half what you can get out there. I sold my OEM Goodyears for either $370 or $400 with 10/32 of tread on them on FB Marketplace. I sold a set of 2G TRD OR wheels for either $370 or $400 on FB Marketplace. All I know is between the two items I netted $770.

Interestingly enough Sport wheels are significantly cheaper than OR wheels for whatever reason. I saw a pretty solid set sell for $200 recently. I've been half tempted to grab a set for $200 if I get sick of my FJ steel wheels for winter.

See above. What I'd sell something for on the forum versus what I could get on CL / FB are two different worlds. People here give away their spare wheel / tire and I got $100 for mine just last month. I'd never sell that high on here, but FB / CL is open season as far as I'm concerned.

EDIT: A good example is I sold my OEM takeoff 2G wheels when I bought my 2013 for $860. I didn't get a bit on here at $650 even with sub-$1,000 miles. I grabbed a set of 2G OR wheels on CL for $140 and those where the set I got nearly $400 for on FB.

Those where were practically being given away at the time. Now, what you view is on flipping can vary, but I've always found the forum is an excellent place to buy anything and sell specialty parts, but if you're looking to sell an OEM part, sell locally because you'll get more from people who don't use forums.

I recently shopped A/T tires 270/60/17 from Goodyear, Firestone, and Town Fair.
TF turned me on to like the Toyo A/T.
All 3 offerings for a nice A/T were around $1150-1200. Mounted, balanced, etc.

I got the same 4 Toyos from Tire Warehouse for $920 or so OTD, and that with the EXTRA mounting $20 vs $30 per and includes flat repair and rotations.

Ya, that haven’t seemed worth selling. This summer I tossed them on for a few days when it was time to rotate the tires.

I still have my 3G TRD OR wheels. I like them too much to sell them, but I don't see myself using them for 5+ years, so...maybe I'm a hoarder? I think my next set of snows in 6-7 years will be 16" tires again. I kept my last snow set on SR5 steel wheels in case the truck gets totaled and I don't want to lose any of my "cool" wheels. I have a wheel problem, always have.

    Edit: 3G wheels, I sold 2G OR wheels...twice.

Feeler here for anyone with a 2012-2015 Pyrite Mica complete lower bumper. For my partial bumper and Relentless Fabrication Lower Stingray Mount with Smittybilt X20 Wireless Winch. And some cash my way of course. Just not sure what to ask for cash my way.
