 WTF. Are u serious? They're not gonna warranty my computer? I thought that's what I was supposed to do, I heard water cooled computers can handle higher power systems so I poured water on it.

OP, i was testing out the bulbs for my off road lights, and sortof did what you did. difference is my bulb only rubbed against some rubber and plastic. i did get some melted to teh bulb though. easy fix is to take a razor blade and just scrape the melted crap right off. wear latex gloves so you don't get any oils on the bulbs, hold the bulb at the base (not by the glass) and scrape it clean. mine have now worked perfectly for a year.

side note: i have 5 kits from them. none are the slim ballasts (they tend to have issues more frequently). two 35w kits and 3 55w kits. they take a beating and just keep on going. take your time to instal them correctly and you shouldn't have an issue.

That Black Tie Protection is a combination extended warranty and insurance. The insurance part protects against day-to-day mishaps, accidents, drops, spills, etc. Most stores offer this type of insurance for electronics (iPods, laptops, TVs, etc.), but it comes at an additional fee. Some are easier to file a claim on than others, but they all generally do the same thing.

This is a little off topic (but who cares since this thread was pointless), but there are other ways to get your insurance for your electronics. My insurance company for home/auto also offers full protection and replacement insurance for electronics. It covers computers, cameras, TVs, smart phones, etc. and will give you a full replacement in case of drops, spills, breakage, etc. It's WAY cheaper than buying the coverage at a store for each of your items. Just an FYI some of you might want to look into. ;)

35w slims in the car low beams and 35w regulars in the truck fogs for 2 yrs or so with no issues. Yes, lifetime warranty but don't you have to go thru customer service to get warrantied parts? If customer service sucks then so would dealing with a warranty issue. Good prices, decent product so far. Not wanting to test out any warranty action or customer service tho.

    Son? LMAO...that's cute.

Yeah...you didn't say that. You said the bulb didn't lock into place and so it burned your shit and now DDM won't replace it because you "didnt catch that it didnt lock and still installed it." You obviously installed 1 bulb correctly. How you managed to install a bulb that supposedly didn't have the locking tabs without noticing that they were missing is beyond belief. It's much easier to believe that you accidentally installed the bulb incorrectly than to believe you could install 2 bulbs back to back and not notice that they were different.

Get over yourself. It's not DDM's fault that you're retarded. Just sack up, realize your mistake, get another bulb and move on with your life. There comes a point in everyone's life where they have to stop acting like a child and become an adult.

Don't worry bro. I did the whole scraping the plastic off the bulb and it's all good.

anyone ever encountered this problem with owning their hid kit from ddm tuning for one month and one of the ballast goes bad??? this just happened to me the other day. made sure the bulb was good by swapping out the non working one with the good one and the bulb came on then hooked up the good power source to the non working ballast and nothing light bulb didnt light up and then hooked it back up to the working light and the light lit up. so im assuming it must be the ballast. n e who just wondering if anyones ballast ever went bad after owning there kit for a month

Tinted windows all around. Fog lights. Intermittent wiper switch. Skid plate. Extra D rings. Grillcraft. Color matched grill. Hella 500ff HID behind grillcraft. Rcbs204 Lighting. 5100's up front. 265/75/16 Duratracs.Firestone riderites. Bora Wheel spacers. Tinted tails. De badged. Blacked out rims.
Installed a kit there a while ago and one of my ballast gave out within the first 10 mins of operation so then i tried to get it under warranty and that took 2 months for them to actually get back to me and i still had to buy a new kit from them to get one ballast!
