I'm probably heading up Friday afternoon to pre-run some stuff. Otherwise, I would caravan up.

If anyone is in the area Friday afternoon and wants to putz around, let me know

Yes! Gonna put the camper setup in the 4runner and spend Friday night somewhere near the trails. There's a bunch of cool campsites nearby.

Anyone interested is welcome to join me.

Let me know if you're heading out that way for sure. I'll probably dick around the section off Buck's Ranch road mostly., but I'll probably buzz through a few areas to see if there's any new closures.

Yes. Primitive campsites. Some are pay, but many are not listed due to poor access roads. Those are free. No toilet, though. Bathroom is the woods and a shovel.:)

Does anyone still regularly use a CB? I just dragged mine out of the basement to use this weekend, but all I get is static, and I'm less than a mile from 3 major highways.

Hmmm, edited to update. Seems my antenna cable is bad. Where can I get a new antenna these days?

Pretty sure you can get a CB antenna about anywhere these days. Walmart. Caseys. Truck stop. I’ve seen them all over.

I found a new crimp on fitting at Farm & Fleet, hopefully I can figure out how to make it work, lol. If not, they do have antennas.
