Market like low rates and really likes to be stimulated.

 

It's more of stagnation...they know nobody can do anything so that means nothing

 

Glad I closed my NOV20 VXX calls on the last bump...This really didn't pan out....probably time to buy another call.
I realized after thoughtful analysis it makes no sense to buy a LONG VXX call planning for a spike...Just buy the 1 month....Like say you were gambling on a spike to $40 on the VXX this month. You can buy the $40 NOV 20 VXX right now for $0.22....3 months ago that was $2.00+. Just keep buying the 1 month out for 10 months and it will cost the same as 1 LONG...

 

AND there goes $SQ

 

I'm getting hosed on VXX right now as well. Couple more days and if it doesn't gain any traction, I'll cut my losses.

Hey dumb question since I usually don't get this lucky. Can you ever get to a point where your calls are so in the money that the volume drops to nothing since nobody wants to buy the contracts? So even though you're up a million %, you're either forced to exercise the call or basically lose your premium.

Or is there usually always a buyer?
