    Who's got one?
Where'd you set the hood pins?

Don't know of anybody that bothers with a Carbon hood, these are trucks ,not race cars.

Most brands these days don't really need hood pins as they come with a factory-style, integrated, striker that works with the factory latch. Myself and many friends/acquaintances have been running them without pins for decades with no issues (this is on both street and track cars).

But, if using pins you'd find an existing hole (or dill a new one) somewhere along the top of the radiator support. There are countless tutorials online and the concept isn't any different for a Tacoma than it is for any other sort of car.

Hahaha fair point but I don't have to be a race truck to have a carbon fiber hood.

I was wondering about that. It does have the stock latch.

I figured it needed it do to the hood being so light.

It looks so good from 10 feet!

Up close there is a nasty warp on the sides of the hood.

I have a VIS CF/fiberglass hood. Uses the OEM hood latch. However, it is much more flexible than the OEM hood, so hood latches were installed.

Used Aerocatch. The more to the center of the core support headlight scre holes were used for the hood pins.

What exactly is the point of a carbon fiber hood?

Because a car wash bent my hood and they cut me a check for what it would cost to put a new color matched hood on it and I could do a carbon fiber for less.... So look better save money.... Win win...

I went with the quick latch circle ones.

That's not much of a surprise, CF (and fiberglass) parts are pretty notorious for poor fitment. When you say "warp" do you mean it's not a clean, straight edge that is parallel to the fender? Or do you mean the hood itself is warped? Hard to tell from your pic but if the edge is not straight and is instead wavy I would have 100% tried to return it - that should have been a factory second.

I have a VIS CF hood on my Integra and it fit like shit for years no matter what I tried to do in order to get it to line up. Specifically, one edge sat higher than the fender so from one side it looked like the hood was popped. Eventually, I figured out that the mounting locations for the hinge brackets were off. This caused the whole hood to be warped when installed. I ended up slotting the holes in my hood hinges which took the tension out of the hood and in turn the warp as well.

By wrapped I mean the edge that should be straight has a 32nd to 1/4 to 1/16th to 1/4 and back to 32nd....on the same side.

Could be smoothed out with a little sanding and a shot of clear.

Could even play a little with fender adjustment.
