I'm sure it's fine. It's a GM, how could it be bad?

It didn't help I added the moon roof. That's like $1200 of it. Maybe more.

I'm going to the dealer tonight to have a little chat. If it takes months to get this vehicle I probably better get after it.

Depends how attached to specifics you are. I went in wanting a: Crew Cab, Short Bed, TRD OR, No Packages, preferably white but only no black/a few other darker colors.

Now, if I went back, I'd say: Get me a V6 4x4 double cab, short bed, SR or SR5, whatever packages. Gives you some bargaining power that it's nothing special :D

If you want the specifics, there might be more of a wait/expense.

I don't know exactly where you are, but here's every 2020 5.0 502a (first trim with LED lights and everything) within 50 miles of Manchester.

    https://shop.ford.com/inventory/f15...rapidSpecs=502A&Engine=5_0l_v8&Order=Distance

Looks like there's $2750 in incentives right now, so you could probably pretty easily be at invoice minus that. That's better than you'd typically do on a Lariat in case you saw something that meets your needs now.

Well... You could be back to driving a POS HHR in the near future again.

As much as I like the panoramic sun roof, I'd think twice about it. They seem to have issues with water getting in. I had an Escape loaner for a day and I broke it, the sunroof wouldn't close. I love the sunroof, but I wouldn't buy one.

I can do that, but I have a contact at Ford of Londonderry that gives my company good deals. I came close to buying from them last time but GM pulled the wool over my eyes. Cheaper isn't always better, certainly in this case.

    To many, but never done
For the money they kick ass!
Less aerodynamic front, rear may bend if pushed hard enough but easy to bend back with strap attached to tree.
Have had no issues at all but painting.
Powder coat would have went a long way.
I did secure the front more though pics when I get back home Saturday.
My sliders are mobtown, I didn't care for TGs.
The mobtowns I really beat on though and they take it, they are bolt on.
I did get the front bumper and a 10000 lb winch at the same time from 4wheel parts I think, could be the other 1 but forgot the name, very similar name.
Anyway I called them up and asked what kind of deal they would give me if I bought both and they gave me 100$ off bumper and 100$ off winch.

TIL I'm a dumbass and forgot to secure my wiring running to the engine bay, so my wires shook around and touched the exhaust, making me have a short in my bed lights... Yay... Go me...

@emelianenkov I called the local Ferd dealer to see what they'd charge for a block heater. $100 in parts, $400 to install  Also didn't believe me that the truck didn't have one and made me give them the VIN so they could look it up. Looks like I'll be doing the install on my own one of these weekends.

how bad is it? I’ve seen some where it just threads right into the block or oil pan. Yeesh. I don’t know diesels that much and especially the SD size ones.

someone tried to enjoy the warm day on the water today. Looks like they enjoyed the weather but didn’t enjoy leaving.

It's not bad. It just threads into a port on the side of the engine. The only issue is you have to deal with a lot of coolant. You can drain down the radiator initially, but I guess there's still a few gallons left in the water jacket that you'll have to catch when you remove the plug. Honestly, I think the $400 number is either an F-U quote or the Ford install manual calls for an entire coolant flush (which would be ridiculous, I'd just reuse what I take out). It looks like it'd only take me a couple hours in my driveway, just a PITA dealing with the coolant. It'd be a couple hour job at best for someone to do on a lift. For a couple hundred, I'd let them deal with it so I don't have to mess with that much coolant.

Moving is sounder better and better to me..ugh.

And yup. Makes me wonder how the hell my parents put me and my sister through private school as a single income house. I wasn't much for school activities though..my bike stuff was a lot cheaper at $5 a day to race at least, plus I bought my own bikes/safety gear/parts.

    I couldn't.

The owner would be able to procure one in a few weeks. Long ago I had to get one and by going into Boston to the main office I was able to stem that to about 10 days. The buyer though, I'm not sure if that's possible.

I did my tractor block heater last year, same thing. Drain the coolant, put a new plug in and refill. I just drained and dumped mine because it was an initial change over on a new engine that was suggested in 10 more hours anyways. But with a couple of catch cans it really was easy and I am not very mechanically inclined. I'm sure its a little harder to get at on a truck though.
