Want to shoot my guns after messing with them.
    can’t find ammo for shit,
can’t find reloading stuff for shit,
don’t want to shoot what I’ve got, replacements are crazy expensive,
I’m just sounding off, getting it off my chest.

I know the feeling, and I have decent stash.
I went to the range yesterday, and between 3 rifles, shot about 30 rounds. 7.62x39 AR about 10, just to play and verify suppressor muzzle brake didn't change POI, then shot 20 rounds of 224 Valkyrie MR steel, and didn't even shoot my 22LR. I felt like the old guy just talking and not shooting.

I know that feeling! I guess I timed my visit to the local Academy just right. They had about 50 boxes of .223 and 100 boxes of XM855 on the shelf at .46 and .50 cpr. today. Good luck ammo hunting

I've got some ammo stashed, but a thousand rounds really isn't shit for survival type numbers, but I've got enough .223, .308, 22wmr, and 22lr to last a while, but it's not like just going and buying more, is going to be around for a while, sucks. Can't find anything in 45/70, or .357 mag, nothing. Sucks. First world problems.

How are you guys storing your ammo? I’m using some ammo cans to store mine, but not sure if there’s a better method.

You can also reuse old desiccant packs from things you buy by heating them up to dry them out.

I use many desiccant packs that can be recharged. 2-3 hours in the oven at 250 usually does the trick.

I use desiccant in my safes, but not in my ammo. I buy ammo in bulk and leave it sealed until needed, stored in humidity/temperature controlled storage. The ready ammo is stored in same conditions. Carry ammo is changed out every six months, and the old stuff is thrown in the range bins. I spent my naval career in weapons. Ammo lasts for a very long time if stored in cool dry places. Hell, I'm still shooting shotgun shells and rifle rounds from my 25 years ago.

Your pins are held in place by the hammer and trigger springs, hence the slots on the pins themselves. These pins have a tendency to "walk" or push out. There are several aftermarket pins called anti-walk or anti-rotation pins designed to prevent this from happening. My personal favorites are the KNS Precision pins. A bit pricy but there are many other versions and manufactures much cheaper. https://www.knsprecisioninc.com/product/gen-st-build-a-kit/
