I've managed to just about get rid of mine. Change the first cell or two in your downshift 2-3 map so that its to something like 10 or 11. You want the minimum speed in that table to be higher than the downshift 1-2 map.

I've been able to reduce it by what feels like 95% of the time of where/when it happens. I still get the odd ball occurrence but I think thats due to me just recently reflashing and its doing its learn thing.

Glad to hear I wasn't imagining this still. I'll actually have to learn how to use VF Tuner now... Thanks

I am just getting started with VF Tuner and also have 04B04 with stock diameter tires. Do you have to change anything from MooseDitty or Papa’s tunes to match your stock tire size since so know Moose runs 33s? I need to load my reg file next and get caught up, but wanted your recent opinion too. I assume you loaded the 87 octane version and not the high octane version, so that is impressive. I currently am running 19770 with 93 octane. I like this tune, but feel that shift points could easily be raised for more gains.

If this is the case, it's an OV 2.0 tune issue. Not an issue I created. It's trying to double downshift simultaneously. Once again... Great observation by @ForceOfG!

I didn't change any parameters, just loaded their 87 3.0 perf+pwr tune, and runs flawless so far with my 04B04 stock setup.

I've had it to. Only happens within the first 5 or so minutes of driving, then doesn't.

I've had the clunk since stock tune since I bought my truck, so no tune has caused it.

Really seems to happen when you’re stopped then drive for a small distance then stop again. I have a stretch of road I drive everyday that has stop signs within 100 yards of each other and it happens there every time.

Mine does it too. It could be caused by the leaf-springs shifting slightly.

This issue has existed forever, brand new trucks do it.

it is from the downshifting at low rpm coming to a stop.

last time I changed it, people complained, so I left it alone on 2.0

Anyone in the McAllen Texas area that want to tune a truck for $$.
I have a guy texting me about getting his truck tuned and it’s like 8-9 hours away from me.
Pm me if you’re interested and I’ll give you his info.

That's over 11hrs from me, but next week I'll be in San Antonio, which is about 3-4 hours north of him, he could drive up to meet me since it's more of an overnight stop along my way to Todd Mission and then once more on my return trip home

Any reason why it would only do it the first couple stops of a drive, but not after that? Any way we could change it in vF ourselves?

am trying to go back to the stock 04B14 TSB file. Since I have a OV 04B14 file flashed, techstream will not allow me to flash the TSB.
When I first flashed the TSB, I used the flash utility to read the ECU creating a p5f file.

Now, when I try to use the flash utility within VF tuner, I get this error message: Is there a way to go back to the TSB file? @OVTune

In the vF file structure, there is an 04B14 Stock file. You can flash back to stock with that.
