Well yeah, my sister is/was the original owner & after her husband passed, she didn't really drive it anymore & gave it to me, the "upside" maybe a total of 500 offroad miles altogether & def. not the kind you or I would do , about 1200-1300 miles on rebuilt motor, it even has A/C !! That was working when it was parked (the a/c compressor is almost as big as the engine ) The "downside" It hasn't been started in 10 years or better so needless to say it'll go thru the pre-start ritual of inspecting & R&R hoses, drain ,flush,replace all fluids, shoot some ATF into the plug holes & let soak a bit to eat up any carbon ring formed & so on.

But its bitter sweet seeing how it was going to be a crawler project for me in the future but now I gotta sell it to pay some unexpected bills, oh well.....

Cool, I don't even remember how well it drives on the highway but it was no worse than my '68 Kaiser built CJ5 jeep I had (the Sammi is prolly better) I NEVER felt safe in that jeep on or off road.....

 

Haha ya. Mine suchks on the highway mostly because i need to regear it for the tires i have. Stock ones do fine on the highway.

You coming out to Superstition ?? I guess All Pro is rolling out with us... Only seems right that Engage represents, love to have you out there man. Besides if you give me a brisk tour of one of the local washes ( not kill me mind you, just bring me back clutching my chest will be fine... ) I'll return the favor, we'll redline my tilt gauge on some slopes & obstacles & a little 3-wheeled polka.... whether its 7mph over ruts,rocks & ravines or
70 mph thru a wash, its all the same bitchin' adrenalin rush..

Thats the beauty of offroading braaaahhh !!

im still trying to get my motor mount fixed so not sure if i can do any real wheeling just yet... im essentially gonna park at camp and ride shotgun...

 

oh, ya know, the entire Engage crew is booked up 1/13/11 to 1/16/11 at the SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge

we already booked our rooms and I believe we will have an Engage truck racing if the motor gets dialed in time...
