4Runner hit 294k this week. That's 13,766 miles that I have put on it in less than a year now. Runs awesome too.

I'll give you 3k for it; once it hits 300k it'll be time to part out anyway

Came home to some workers my landlord hired leaning and resting against my camper shell that's sitting on the flatbed. I asked them to get off and my landlord got upset with me saying I was overreacting and I'm sensitive. Not really sure how to go about things because it's not designed to be sat on or leaned on like that. Not to mention it's a 2016 shell so it's paint was still perfect when I bought it. Now it has scratches all over from people carrying ladders and tools past it.

I never get notice about these workers showing up until the night before. So I never have time to gather one or two guys to help move the shell to safety. I would move the flatbed to the street to protect the shell, but then I'd never work on it since it wouldn't be on flat ground. I need to get the fiberglass repaired and get it on the double cab ASAP I guess. Just not confident in my fiberglass repair abilities.

Legally he's required to provide more notice of entry or inspection. Use a lawyer to fire a shot over his bow

I'd rather have a decent relationship with the guy since he's been a great landlord other than recently with all the work on the house. He argues that I should be happy he's improving the property and home. But honestly I'm just upset that my property keeps getting damaged and don't care about things looking perfect. The whole reason my truck got backed into in September was workers left trailers and equipment in front of our house. That caused cramped parking and someone scared my brother as he was backing out of the driveway.

Might just start looking for a smaller place to rent with a better garage setup. Just have to find someone willing to let me park a project car or two which can be difficult.

So, not trying to be a dick here but you are letting the landlord walk all over you. As a tenant, with a lease (I assume), you have rights that the landlord is not adhering to. Arguing that he is improving the house and you should be happy? Sure, but he still needs to provide proper notice and if you workers are damaging YOUR property, then you have the right to tell them to fuck off and either move their shit or be more careful about what they are doing. Speak up about it and if the landlord continues to give you shit about, start yelling at him or lawyer up!

    Yeah, some are too sweet.

I will sometimes drink the yellow one, for the most part the original is best.

We rent an old craftsman house that's almost 100yrs old, it's needed a bit of work over the 3 years we've been in it. Our landlord is awesome and always see to it that stuff gets fixed when needed and let's us know when people are coming by to do work. But my issue is with the people he hires at times, sometimes they are careless like you describe. They'll park their trucks so they're blocking our driveway, they'll have lunch break on our front lawn and take naps there lol. Like dude, go in the backyard. They'll leave our trash cans in the backyard instead of putting them away. Little shit that gets annoying after awhile.

Yeah I get you. Sometimes it's hard to see how unreasonable someone is being when you just want to get along. I think he's being passive aggressive since my roommates (there are 4 of us) have been hosting massive parties since COVID started. They've damaged the house a decent bit and block his driveway with guests. But I had nothing to do with those parties or damage and he's well aware of it. How? Because I'm outside wrenching during every single party.

He used to give at least a week of notice before inspections, repairs, improvements, and stuff like that. Lately it's been 8-12 hours of notice. Or he'll just tell one person or no one at all. Just the other night he asked my roommate to move his truck (6.4 crew cab long bed F-250) so fork lifts could move sod pallets into the backyard the next morning. That roommate had just finished working a 10 hour shift and the 6.4 has fuel delivery problems so he had to tow it to the street at 10pm. I'm going to have to find someone to take this lease over or talk with the landlord.

I'd move the fuck out if that's what's been going on. But that's just me. Too much stupidity from roommates and landlord going on there it sounds like.

Yeah that's the same deal with most of his workers. It's nothing major most of the time but it starts to add up. And when I start having to worry about coming home to surprise workers it makes it even worse.
