Thank you so much. Did you get the dimple plug instead of the hex plug @Grossomotto suggested? Because of the copper crush washer?

    Really appreciate the shopping list.

Not sure which plug he recommended! I better look around. I just have used a lot of Dimple plugs over the years and a) they work fine, no issues, plus b) That magnet will pull scrap iron from the junkyard on the opposite side of town. What plug did he recommend, I can't seem to find it?

The copper washer (comes with Amazon kit) MUST be used, regardless of plug brand - don't use the supplied (usually aluminum) washer from plug company unless it is copper. Trust me, it will leak and you will end up reefing overly hard on a plug that is a PITA in the first place. Evidently Toyota knows this. When the kit arrives (bought two, because I'm that way) - well I for one - first thought: What is the single copper washer for?

What would you recommend for an AT as far as transmission fluid and plugs go? Aside from oil and brakes, is there another fluid I should look to have on hand for self-performed MX?

I've not seen the drain plug on the AT, and I've not seen an aftermarket version.

    For the AT:

    OR

    What about the Transfer Case?

As far as the plug, I was thinking of this post where @Grossomotto linked to a plug, wasn't sure which exact plug it was for (diff or transmission) but I remember you had trouble with one of those and wasn't sure what type of trouble I might encounter. I suppose step 1 could be for me to locate and attempt to remove the fill plugs on diffs and tran as a preliminary step to ensure if they are damaged or stuck that I purchase replacements?

Transfer Case = Diff fluid? That's the at the clamshell for the rear axle, right? Or is that where the transmission fluid goes? I'd also want to be ready to change that.

OH yes OK I had forgotten. That is alternative stock and is a better and less costly than factory and a lot cheaper than Dimple!

No TC is special fluid, light MTF like fluid. On the MT it's on the but end of the transmission. I assume the same unit on the AT.

Sorry, one more question, do the "easy pack" options mean no need to buy/use a pump? And if so do they make it less messy or easier? Did I get my quantities correct here? I'm not sure at all about the TC but will try to read up on that part. Thanks so much for all the help here!

GREAT question. Save some $ and get the regular bottles. No way in heck for the front can you get the pack in there to squeeze, ditto MT and rear as well as it will take all 4 qts.

THEN buy this sexy pump: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DTS8N7P/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Best pump I ever used, puts the others to shame.

Assuming this is the rear diff fluid, I didn't see a gallon option?

Cool, thanks, final order as below for @CygnusX191 and other MT peoples, assuming I didn't bungle quantities or product selection:

I think I need to do some digging in the manual to see what's what then come back here to get the juicy details on products.

Do you have a part #, or link for that Dimple brand plug?
