I am offering this as my obligatory "new member" post... I have been in an 08 DC PreRunner SR5 for just over a month now and LOVE it! When I learned how to drive at the age of 8 it was in a truck, and I think I've spent the years since then fighting the obvious truth that I really belong in one... So the acquisition of new toys this summer gave me the perfect reason to ditch my little red sports car and go for a Tacoma! :)

I've been reading different forums here for 2 weeks straight and have learned so much already. I'm looking forward to learning more so I can start to give my Taco a touch of Southern style... ;) so I may be asking a lot of questions soon.

    Blue skies!

Thanks for the subtle hint... haha ;)

Just got some pics loaded on my computer so I'll give this a try:

First Day the truck (still working on a good name for it) came home

First mod is a brush guard - added on the dealer's dime... was able to wrangle this agreement from the salesman b/c he really wanted to sell a vehicle that day!

    Coming Soon:
    OEM Roof Rails
    Suspension Lift
    Wheels & Tires (debating 17" vs. 18")

I would decide what size and style tire you want before deciding on diameter. I prefer 18's but choices become more limited with aggressive tires.

Thanks for the tip. I am researching now and saving pennies for later - hoping to do something in the spring. I am torn between wanting an aggressive look but knowing I will never be climbing trails or seriously offroading...

Hard to side with "practical" when you want your truck to look good.... ;)
