That's my thought, I don't beat the shit out of my truck yet so as long as it can handle slightly above average abuse that's all I need. Plus for whatever reason I love the look of a tube bumper over plate...plus save on some excess weight too.

They can handle a damn lot of abuse. The ends of the tubes on the wrap arounds are not braced, so theoretically they could bend in. But I never had an issue even after hitting a frozen snowbank on I95 after hitting black ice at ~45mph.

You know, I think I still have some puppy pads, I might just grab those. They're basically just a cheaper version of the oil ones (I know they aren't quite as good but they'll do the trick). Good tip

:notsure: I strategically spill diesel on my driveway while working on my truck to kill the grass so I don't have to mow it... :notsure:

I wish. None of my gear was ready to go, and I'm more in hunting season mode right now mentally, so I wasn't thinking about it. There were some nice shots from MRG earlier this week though, made me and the wife both a bit jealous.

I just strategically spilled some diesel on my driveway also  On a plus side, I hopefully resolved the issue with getting some fumes in the cab. The catch can intercept fixture didn't have a properly seated o-ring and it popped out and was crushed. I'll know after a few trips if it's resolved or not. If it's not and I have to take it apart again, the catch can is getting yanked out and I'll either go back to stock or get the vent-to-atmosphere kits.

My co-worker just traded his cummins for a new mustang gt trackpack. Its rolling on a set of super sticky sport cup 2 tires, however with the massive whipple supercharger, smaller pulley, and brutal 10 speed downshifts, its dangerous. With the traction control completely off, it will blow the tires off at any speed, 30, 60, 90mph. It's sick but i cannot imagine daily driving a 730rwhp car that been lowered and rolling on damn-near track tires.

We started using vinegar. just chuck the whole bottle in a tank sprayer, add some dish soap (helps it stick to the leaves) and use it when it's hot, apparently it's supposed to work? I'll let you know after we get through next year.

I know vinegar will kill grass. I used it to clean my chimney and all the grass below it died pretty quickly.

Yup, we use it in the rock beds, not on the lawn. Our lawn is clover now (it's growing, slowly but surely!) so we can't really use a weed b gone. Otherwise it will kill the whole lawn! But, it's somewhat nice because now we could do a weed be gone in the rock beds and it will kill any clover that is trying to spread.

Very nice! Did you end up welding the nuts onto the top or drilling through?

I drilled through. It was a total pain in the arse to get to the nuts on some of them though!
