Oh boy, Yeah I don’t/haven’t yet wheeled super super hard stuff so haven’t had much of that experience.

I woke up in a hospital ICU on a ventilator a couple years ago.
They told me I’d been in a accident.
My 1st thought was my truck must be destroyed if I’m hurt this bad.
I started crying. I was so sad my truck was gone.
Then I realized they said motorcycle accident.
I felt much much better after that.

As a spectator there’s something very satisfying about watching a truck idle or low rpm itself over stuff with a crawl box.

It's always a good thing when you can make jokes about shit like that afterwards. That had to be a stressful time. Did you get another motorcycle?

It wasn’t too bad. It could have been worse....my truck coulda been totaled! And no one had to scrape me off the pavement. I came off in one piece.

It was way more stressful on my family and friends. I had a fentynel epidural for a week + all kinds of other drugs and a good enough head injury I only remember bits and pieces. I was pretty out of it at the time.

I still have and ride the same motorcycle. $600 in eBay parts for a replacement used set of forks, rebuild those forks, radiator, oil cooler, some hoses, and some plastics and it’s all good sorta. ait had crash bars that saved the bike. It’s a 2009 Suzuki vstrom 650. Nothing special.

I also got a new helmet. The old one was f’d. My aerostich suit and my favorite jeans all got cut off. That sucked too. I was pretty bummed about the jeans too.

Trucks back in my driveway. Was nice to drive it again. Rear locker and rear end is all good now. Got alot of new noises that i will have to diagnose. But skid plates got all new mounting points and hardware. Anybody who has RAT skids should look into rivnuts rather than the self tapping. My self tapping screws kept falling out. Truck is alot louder i side now but sounds kinda like a SC. Lol. The rattling is what's urking me. Im sure i will figure it out. I tried the crawl box in a parking lot and damn is that shit slow. Love it. Struggled for a bit to get it back in 2wd. Lol. I'll play with it this weekend to get more familiar.

There’s a method to get it to shift out of 4wd especially under load. On slick rock or pavement I normally don’t have any issue as long as I give no throttle and roll or stop and go to neutral and let it roll to unload a foot or so. On red rock/sand stone I have to blip the throttle and give it a tap and it’ll shift. It also took some time for mine to “break in” and shift some.
