Yes, but you have to open the back panel if you want to keep it in there and fold forward/ fold back.

I use this and the bed extender folded in is great at holding groceries from rolling around. I open the DB panel, flip the extender and have more space etc.

I just ordered a DB cover. I went with the HD, smooth, preinstalled cleats. My projected delivery is around Christmas. That’s gonna be a great present to myself

These things are nice only downside u need to remove them to get full access to your bed since the middle section does not move .

I guess it depends on what you're hauling. Most people just strap whatever they are hauling to the actual cover which will be my intention depending upon what it is.

They are great, just ordered my second one. Based on Tacoma Payload went with SE but ordered more cleats. The peace of mind when traveling, going to the range, or keeping stuff dry is great. Will post pics once installed. Also as The Devil illustrated you can run the bed extender with the top, so you could always pop the rear hatch off if you had something tall but didn’t want to strap it.

The thread has been dormant for awhile, but awesome feedback. Did anyone see any issues with a Taco short bed and putting more than 400lbs on the HD. I am curious how much you can push that for hauling on top. Saw an interesting comment on the sides getting too much pressure. Weighing HD vs SE and just removing it if hauling more than 400lbs. Example a skid of mulch how would the comfort be with that on top or an ATV? Thanks

I ordered my DB last week, should be here in about two weeks. I've never had a bed cover before so I'm curious to see how it'll work for me. I like the idea of being able to secure the bed on trips, which will save me from having to un-load and re-load the bed on long road trips.

I ordered an SE, smooth finish with no cleats attached. It does look like I'll need to remove my in-bed tool box but that's not a deal-breaker for me, as I have another vehicle I'll probably move it over to.

I’d rather have the ATV than the mulch but the bed is rated at like 1500 lbs and the cover is rated at 1600 lbs. as long as the mulch isn’t closing in on 1500+, I’d be comfortable with it. I’ve strapped a lot of things down on top of my cover and never had a problem. As far as weighing an SE vs HD, if you can afford the HD, I’d get that. Better to have the ability to carry more and not need it instead of need and not have. That’s the reason I went long bed on the truck as well, more carry capacity if necessary

I never really considered another option. I like the look of the DB, and the thing is a tank. It basically makes your entire bed a tool box. I have the slightest of leak near the back, but very minor and only during a good downpour. Otherwise it has been great. I added the 8in bin and LED lights as well.

I scored on finding a slightly used one for half the price within 20miles from me after my post. HD it is and stoked to have it!
