What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Nice looking Gear shift knob, got to ask how comfortable is it?

 

Being a gadget guy, I decided to try this.
Inclinometer - beeps at me to let me know I'm about to need a recovery service.
Altimeter - so I know how high I am.
Lat/Lon - so I can give the coordinates of my location to the recovery service.
Direction - great for the directionally challenged.
Other stuff like GPS satellites, clock, speed, voltage, etc.
Hard wired to acc, you can change some of the settings like color, speed alarm, units... etc. I wish it were a picture of a truck rather than a jeep-ish looking rig, but I'll suffer thru it.

 

Wanted to install the black grille surround but it's not here yet. Was supposed to be Thursday.
I just paid off the PayPal credit 6 months no interest loan used to get my tonneau cover with when I got the truck 3 months ago. Looks like that and a wash will be all for today.

 

OOOOO, thats nice and really pretty decent on price compared to like 90% of things for sale on here.

 

Good to know as I am planning on these in the near future. I recall that you installed the rear first and liked the softer ride. How are you liking things now that you have finished the install? Also are the drivers and passengers side front heights the same with these stock or did you add the 1/4" spacer to the drivers side? Got measurements of the difference? Thank

I had been waiting for him to come out with these as he was only making them for the 4Runners.

Feels pretty good. Like it better than the stock shift knob.

right. This site is a black hole on my pocket. I already spent a hundred bucks on an OEM Pro knob. Now that’s not good enough

 

You think it's expensive for you... Try being Canadian and trying to get all this stuff. Add at least 50% to whatever you spend.

 

I have an LED festoon bulb in my dome light this looks like its a bit brighter with 2 panels.
I might have to try it. I resist the meso customs lights because they seem to only come in black. The head liner and overhead console in my truck is light grey, I'd go meso if there was a matching color option.

 

I put Bilsteins on my last 2nd Gen taco. I would say the Eibach Pro kit is more firm overall. I put the front struts on Thursday and have had it on the highway and surface streets. There’s zero nose dive when stopping and no rock left right. The rear end no longer skips or jumps going over bumps. This kit comes with coil over springs that compensate for the different heights so no spacers are used. Just make sure you put the correct strut on each side. On the lowest setting it raised my front end up a half inch more than 2” spacers I had on there before.... so I’d say I got a 2.5” lift on the front. Improvement over stock suspension for sure.

 

Thanks. Sounds like what I'm looking for. Did you measure the front on both sides to see if they were the same height? Stock shocks are supposed to even out sides with the drivers side having a stronger spring (I believe) but my drivers side is over a half inch lower so if the Eibach doesn't make them even then I'll add the spacer to the drivers side. If you have a chance to measure for comparison I'd appreciate the feedback.

 

So the hoses were supposed to be included but weren't? Also did it come with a mounting bracket or do you have to make your own?

That's where most of my fun. money comes from. I always say I'm gonna pay it off and pay cash for everything, but I never do.

 

Why not try a tune? There’s probably somebody near you that would do it for $150 or $200. Not too expensive considering what some of the other mods cost and it may give you back that loving feeling!
