Apologies for the delayed response. I’m an employee health nurse at a hospital here in Utah and we’ve been slammed with COVID.

I ended up having the shop install an amp for me. The system now has some tight punchy bass. I couldn’t be happier. Thanks guys for your help here.

Yikes..be safe and hope you all are well.

Ain't nothing like an aftermarket amp. I would guess they just ran new wire to the speakers, IMO the best way to go for a couple of reasons.

What amp did you roll with?

Nice choice, I went with 2 separate amps but I have the front doors only and then a pair of 12s behind my seat. I do love the Pioneer radios I have and used to have too

Try different brand of speaker also I had infinity reference series when I built a system for my celica like 10 years ago I
Was very disappointed in the sound quality a friend of mine ran cheap pioneer 6x9 and they blew my speakers away when it came to sound clarity

Try crossing the front speakers at 80-100hz using a 24db slope. Sub should be crossed at 80hz on a 12-24db slope. Also yes, amp the fronts. Assuming your on a budget, I would get a 4 channel amp and sell the monoblock for the sub. Amp the fronts, and bridge the rear for the sub. Run the rears off the headunit. 4 channel that runs 50x4 will be plenty.
