I’ve tried several things trying to fix this. Changed transmission mount, carrier bearing, and took the driveline out, greased it, greased the yoke, tried it all. Thud when stopping is still there. Thinking of shackling the leaf springs just for a test. Driving me nuts

If it's coming from the rear, look at ur drum brakes they might be adjusted to tight.

I’ll give this a try tomorrow. I had the drums off recently and I felt like things were on the right side back there, giving it a shot tomorrow. Thanks

Check the torque on the caliper bolts. Could be a bad U Joint

Thank you for commenting. Your idea worked! First thing today I backed off the rear drums to allow the parking brake to click about 25 times till tight, it was about 15 clicks max, and afterwards I have no clunk from the rear now. Thanks Again!

Glad to hear and guess why I suggested this.....I had the same thing. I like my parking brake nice and tight but apparently it causes issues with the brakes grabbing the drum. Glad all is well my friend.
