Sorry that happened. That charger get super heavy when you’re trying to fully extend it out over the lower intake to set it down. Maybe you put the weight on the unit on that one little end installing/removing and it cracked?

Went to the carwash, really really slow. And washed her. Cleaned up the interior. Ready to go get dirty

wrapped up the undercoating of my truck with woolwax (in black)

I bought this kit with the pro gun. I did not realize you specifically need to add the 18" extension wand with it so heads up if you go with this kit.

So I ordered another gallon of the stuff and got free shipping w/the wand. (figure I'll use it)

Anyway, that arrived and I did the frame rails today. Packaging was great, the pro gun is pretty nice (made in Italy) and the product itself is pretty decent stuff doesn't have to much of a smell, I guess it smells like a sheep (since it is made from lanolin)

I have a little space heater that I set the gallon pail in front of and it took about a 3/4 of a gallon I would say to this point.

We'll see how long it lasts in the winter weather. But I'll most likely go through again before they start spreading salt and do another coat to hit places I probably missed.

I installed a really well fitting aftermarket grill- look for QCC on eBay if you need one. Fits great! Also did the Honda Odyssey washer nozzles and put in two USB’s where the lower power sources were. Then finished taking the dash apart and put in some dash bulbs where I had a few out. Long day- took my time- but well worth it.

I honestly don’t know. It lifted off cleanly and that piece was left behind.

I’m flying out for a quick job and bringing it with me. I plan on welding it back together there. If we can fix split lines in power plants, this can be fixed as well.

Decided since I have to clean it up to weld it, may as well repaint it.

Also installed a new heli coil in the intake. Easier than I thought! Idk where that hole goes but... meh.

    Welp..
the resi brackets need to be re-fabricated. The Fox brackets hold the bottom out too far. They are angled pushing the bottom outward. I'll make new brackets straight and they should clear no problem.

So I broke my drivers door handle and bought a replacement set for $40ish bucks.

Passenger side was fine so I figured keep the other as a spare.

the install on the drivers went smooth and it feels great.

the install on the passengers went fine but the handle is really hard to actuate (engages at the last moment)

is this a crap part situation or a poor installation?

Probably an issue with the part but would be good to take it apart again and make sure the door rod linkage was all put in correctly

    Which aftermarket brand?

I've had good luck with the T1A branded handle I got off Amazon about 6 months ago.

Yeah I've broken a few OEM ones over the years, don't feel like paying $150 or whatever it was for an OEM handle that breaks as easily as the aftermarket ones do. And they are easy to replace, so I just use the cheaper aftermarket ones. So far they've lasted longer than my previous OEM one did

I still don’t know how the hell you break so many. Both the tacomas are on original handles. And they survive getting yanked on when the doors are frozen shut

My OEM handle cracked a few years ago.

I drilled some holes and zip tied it.

Been going strong for several years. :anonymous:
