Nice setup. FWIW, I've shot lots of bipods from the Ckye-Pod (on my PRS rig) down to the Caldwells. My favorite ~$100 option is the MagPul. I'm still surprised with the durability.

I've only tried Harris, knock-off Harris, GripPod and the Magpul. The 6"-9" Harris with swivel and the Magpul are my favorite for a general purpose bipod.

So went to the range last night, first time shooting under nods. Had the vis/IR laser sighted already just had to adjust the illuminator up some and it was dead on. Shooting itself with a rifle was quiet easy, lase the target and squeeze the trigger. Pistol took some getting used to but with practice will become easier. Mag changes were easier than I expected surprisingly but I attribute that to muscle memory and dry fire practice.

The perst 3 was stupid bright. Luckily the moon wasn’t out as much and had some decent cloud cover so I was really able to see how bright it was. On full power with the diffuser off I could easily shine out to 500 yards plus. Now there were no targets up so I’m not sure how PID’ing at that distance would actually be but the illuminator itself has the power needed. The laser is much the same on full power it’s a lightsaber. Most of the time I ran the laser and illuminator on minimum and was plenty bright. The P3+ definitely has the power and I’m happy with it for sure.

Overall it was a blast though and looking forward to practicing more and getting better shooting in the dark.

Went out to Lonestar Handgun range this morning. First time to the range in months. They gave us a private bay do to a concrete truck pouring a slab for more bays being added.
Had some fun shooting my FNP45 with can at 50 yards. Could not tell where I was hitting on my target that was full of 45 holes, so I switched over to one of the other guys target for 6 shots. I will take that group for 50 yards and standing.

Best way would be online as most stores are putting a limit on the number of boxes you can buy at one time.

Best place, with ammo availability so hard to come by you’ll have to check out multiple places and do it pretty much daily. Generally sites update their stock in the mornings though and from what I’ve seen are sold out within hours.

I would say within minutes lol.

I'll second this. You'll have to check the internet every day, including private local sales and also seeing by gun stores as much as possible. Good luck!

    Lame.

I live in the city, so no deer this year, I think. I'll be moving to the country next year, so :fingerscrossed: for better luck.

Yea we’ve got 100 acres to hunt on and we try to go every couple of years. It’s a nice break from the norm. We’ll be back out again this year to try our luck some more

Pulled the 308 out of the safe for a quick 100yd re-zero with the new ammo that came in. Not much adjustment needed. Shoots pretty good for 150g soft points.
