What am I doing wrong here?? I have a 2013, got the blackout steering wheel controls. I understand you have to add a pin to terminal 9 and ground to a screw to make the steering wheel lights work. I got the pin, but terminal 9 is already occupied by a factory wire?? I added a pin to terminal 10, and ground, nothing. Here are pics for reference.

That’s a great deal! I ended up ordering the black 4runner pro knob. Pricey.. but I figure I can always resell it. I’ll post pics in a couple days when it comes in.

Awesome sounds good! Mine is the tundra one and i did have to add 2 nuts to the threads of the original shifter so it cleared fully for lower gears as it is longer.

That bottom piece separates from the shift knob which has to be removed to install you install the bottom piece first and than you install the nuts than the knob.
    Lmk if ya have issues

Anyone familiar with the steering wheel upgrade to this blackout mod, please help with the above question regarding wiring. Thanks.

    the knob?
See 2 posts above. All ya gotta do is put 2 nuts on the threads of the shifter post. separate the bottom piece of the knob put that on first than screw on the nuts. than screw the knob on and your all set

It came in this morning. It’s glorious! It does sit a tad shallow.. your method with a couple nuts will do the trick.

oh thats a 3rd gen shifter knob. Looking good guys.look so much better in all black. Just be careful with the new 4x4 helux switch. When I did mine something got shorted out. It all works but no longer is as bright as it should be and my switch never lit up. Even returned one and got a new one. So its black unlit for me.

Anyone ever find the black cup holder surround for a six-speed? Or know if Toyota even made it in black?

    More to come!!
Guessing you mean the 3 hole cup holder that’s pictured on the bottom right for standard transmissions.. I have never seen a black one, nor did bother looking much for it either to be honest, but I got mine vinyl wrapped in satin black to match the rest of the black interior and came out pretty nice I have to admit. I also did the silver rings around the tweeters & the cluster.

not sure if you got this sorted, this seems to be an issue no one has a clear answer to but here you go.

This wire is the one that needs to be grounded, this is from the steering wheel side just to show you.

This is the pin that needs to be added to the connector and then grounded to make it light up

Also you are adding the wire on the clockspring/steering column side not the wheel itself side.....though i guess you could techinally just ground the black wire from the first picture to the wheel and it should work considering the horn is grounded in the same way...

Sorry if I missed it - I am looking for the steering wheel accent pieces in black with the volume control button in black also.

When I search I only find these, which doesn’t have the volume control button on the left side.

Yeah the picture diagram doesn’t show it but 84250-04040-C0 is the part number your looking for.

Just finished my instrument panel rings and tweeter trim rings. The blackout is complete! This link was very useful for the tweeter trim rings:
