See if i am right here. He said the stick on the left is my front case (up is high, down is low, neutral in the middle of course)

This where i am confused. He said the middle was the stock case. But in testing i found out that the right stick engages my 4wd light and only has 2 options. Forward is 2wd, back is 4wd.

Also, how can i make sure or find out which is the front case and which is the rear as far as the sticks go? Hope that makes sense.

    Triple stick:
    Right stick should be 2/4wd
Left stick should be h/l stock case
    Middle is crawlbox h/l

Unless he did some crazy criss cross underneath the cup holder, which i doubt

Or better yet, crawl underneath and verify yourself by checking the shift linkage/rod. If you're using RAD setup, his setup it won't allow you to use the left shifter for the front case.

I would worry about other things if your fab guy is telling you that

Last question. I should not use the front case in low without the rear in low right?

If you're running MC 4.7 gears or MC total spline 2.28, it wouldn't matter if the front case is L and in rear is in 2wd.

    Can't speak for TG gears

    ^^^^ That.

    LMAO. Yep.

It's an old wife's tale about not using the front case in Lo with the stock case in Hi. The idea is the crawlbox in Lo puts stress on the stock case input shaft. That could lead to breaking the stock case. I've never seen anyone actually do that though.

The reason you won't need to run the crawlbox in Lo and the stock case in Hi is the gearing. There's not enough of a difference between 2.28 and 2.57 to make you want to use the 2.28 alone.

What in the... I thought I made overkill shit.

    Left is T-case Hi/Low
    Middle is Crawlbox Hi/Low
    Right is T-case 4wd/2wd

That's the beauty of dual cases. Use what gears make sense for the situation. I tend to drive around in the 4.7 on most trials, but I have swapped to the 2.57 to go faster when there's nothing technical or it's just a dirt road.

@theesotericone touched on this aready, but in an idea setup, you'd have the bigger gears (4.7) in the second case to put less stress on that gears. That being said, I know plenty of people who just run the 4.7 in the first case and have never broken a single 4.7 before.

It's also very much personal preference to what you like in terms of gearing. Just mess around with the gears on the trail and see what combo you like.

It's somewhere in the middle of this. Don't remember the time stamp.

It is getting close to winter. I just went out for a smoke and it's lightly snowing in Bishop. That means the mountains are getting some. That means I'm going snow wheeling. If you don't here from me a little after dark it means shit went south and I'm hiking out. lol

Went to the park and was playing with the sticks on a slow street. I think my high is downward and low is upwards. Sucks cuz i just ordered knobs. I need to make sure before i cancel this order. Gonna go hit a parking lot right now.

So what i noticed is that if the front is not engaged, i cant engage the rear. If i engage 4wd (right stick) then i can engage the rear. This stuff is confusing. I just dont wanna fuck shit up when im 100 miles from home
