I got a question for the PA crew. How is everyone keeping their undercarriage from rusting out? My previous tacoma had its frame replaced and I'd prefer to avoid that on my new one.

Some say they use paint annually, others use an oil base undercoating applied annually.

Has anyone had any success with frequent cleaning with a salt neutralizer? Since I intend on being under my truck to perform all of its required maintenance, I'm not wild about the prospect of being covered in oil every time.

Another beautiful morning for a hot air balloon flight. Lynn and I love crewing - great exercise, great people a chance to fly occasionally. Yesterday we flew, today was all work. Take a flight if you have the chance.

 

I contacted my dealer about some rust prevention and they told me that mine was "rust proofed at the factory" as mitigation for those rusty frame recalls.

 

Pup is healing well

 

Nice day today. Went to church for the first time (in person) since the lock-down. Got to play bass. They had been all acoustic and webcast since we stopped going. Dark too soon and back to work tomorrow after some time off. Still a few hours to enjoy a fire outside with the Mrs. though.

 

From a groundhog? Wow.
Ours are so skittish, my dogs have only ever had contact with one. It was more of a collision as my dog had a good head of steam before the varmint saw her coming. They collided and rolled and both had the "what the hell was that!?" expression before the groundhog bolted.

Glad yours is healing. I worry more about foxes and raccoons around here.

FYI... only the boxed portion of the Frame is coated with a waxy substance.

 

Funny, I went to the website and the 2nd location is 15min from me in Doylestown while yours is only 30min or so from my folks place up in Wallenpaupack...
I think if we did this (the wife & I) we'd prefer to do it up north.
