Nope....still waiting for the Big Drop around here. Maples are the only thing that's dropped so far. In another week to 10 days the leaf situation will be on for me.

    20201108_102503.jpg

Gonna do some winter prep....rust inhibitor and air up the winter tires. Maybe we'll have winter this year....maybe we won't. These days you never know down here. It's become hit and miss over the last few years. Still gotta be ready though.

I went to pick up leaves then we got hit with a 4.0 earthquake. Oh the joy.

At least the grass is still green.

They’re in pretty good shape. Found 'em on CL. Only paid $50 for 'em....with center caps.

All done. Not much to show in the pictures. It's mostly the inside.....especially the boxed sections around the cats. I pump a lot of product in there. I hit the bottom channel of the frame, leaf spring and mounts and the rear axle too. Then little spots here and there as needed. Gonna let it drip for a bit. This stuff will thicken up quite a bit over the next few days

Finally got done with the leaves. About an hour later the neighbor blew all his leaves under my fence.

Is 2 cans enough for the whole frame, front to back?

I probably used about 1.5 cans. I don't really do the whole frame. I just hit the known problem areas + anything that looks like it might need it. My frame is rust free....so it doesn't take much. Luck, a good spring blowout each year and my rust inhibitor application had been very effective

I let the road dust collect and then saturate everything.
I do blow off the excess but outside of that I just spray

    actually pretty good for him.
I don’t get paid to clean.
Actually I don’t get paid to do my job a lot of times either.

It doesn't look bad for just a spray on job.

It better than what I see for people who paid for cleaning and spray a protected film.

Nope. It's only 2 years old. And our 11 year old Yaris still looks good underneath. Those unibody cars seem a lot less susceptible to rust...as there really isn't a frame per say. I keep an eye on the subframes.

The 1st gen Yaris were susceptible to water collecting in the area of one of the LCA bolts on each side. The heads would rust and pop off. Lots of antiseize and grease have kept that at bay. A yearly removal and regreasing has confirmed that.

I wanted to build thickness. So you rub the “dirt” off it’s painted metal.

My Rav4 undercarriage doesn't look bad for a daily driver and never been sprayed. Rust is very minor. It's based off the Corolla platform.

Mike....you've been wrenching a long time on these Toyotas. Would you agree or disagree that a good yearly application of some sort of rust inhibitor product is just as effective if not more so than the current Toyota fix.....especially when you flood the boxed sections?
