I'm going to be building a sub enclosure in the next few days to hold a couple of Pioneer 10"s and an amp and I haven't decided exactly how I'm going to mount the amp yet or how to orient the subs (together or one on each side).

    So, let's see 'em!

    Bump.

Thought this would have gotten more response, but maybe I posted too late last night and not enough people saw it on the "recent threads" list...

Modified the stock rear door trim panels to hold the sub panels:

Modified the door so the enclosure could slide in and lined it with some sound deadening material:

Unfortunately my rollcage interfered with the panels and I couldn't close the doors. I took a jigsaw and free-hand cut the raised areas of the panels, flipped them over so the speakers would be recessed instead of raised, re-glassed them, sanded, painted them black to match the cage, and stuck 'em back in.

They sound sweet and hit hard.

we have a sub box that looks like this:

    fits like this:

You can get it with an Image Dynamics ID10 for $199 or you can get it with an IDQ10 for $289.
We also carry the amp board that is custom fit in that storage area.

Have you upgraded your speakers yet?

No, I haven't upgraded the stock speakers yet, but I'm thinking about it. However, I'm not ready to drop money on more amps to power the fronts. So, if I have to do that, then I'm gonna wait a bit.

    I ordered a Kenwood DXN8120, 2 Pioneer 10" shallow mount subs and bought a Punch 300.

Perhaps if you posted your question in a new thread in lieu of waking a 2year old existing one people would be more willing to help ;)

Only you know the answer as to what your audio goals are. Personally, I dont see much use in adding amps and subs to a stock system..but thats my preference. Your goal may differ.
