Lol ya I don’t know much about them but I think it was mostly driver error. The guy was going way too fast for the conditions.

My first “snow run” my buddy and I were so excited to be in the woods using our 4 wheel drive. Thought we were hot stuff. Next thing you know, here comes a Tesla SUV zooming by. Lol

Just testing the waters since TW seems to love these tires as much as I do - would anyone close to Portland be interested in my current set of ST Maxx’s 265/75/16? Less than 7k on them and fit on stock suspension if you don’t have a lift. Considering jumping to 33’s is all. Haven’t decided on a price yet - feel free to DM me!

Forecast is showing possibility of over a foot of snow this week and into the weekend. Just saying!

When we had our FJ Cruiser we would do runs with the NWFJCC club. Every year we'd do a Black Friday run at TSF (everyone out shopping, were hitting the trails )
Any plans for something like that here? I'll be coming back from Washington on that Black Friday, but would be up for a run on Saturday morning. Thoughts?

This was our last NWFJ run in 2009

I ordered some sliders but I’m guessing they won’t be here til some time in December so those rocks got me a bit antsy. I’d definitely be down for something though, been itching to get out. Has anyone done badger lake?

That trail in the pic was Firebreak, its a black diamond rated trail. I wouldnt do it with out sliders and skid plates (which we had on the FJC) There are tons of other trails there (green & blue rated) that are easy going and really nice that we did when our FJC was fully stock

Where'd you get your sliders from? I got a pair just a couple of weeks ago from Metal Tech, they had them in stock so I got them the next day

oh nice I’d be all about some green or blue rated trails, let’s do it. Ordered mine from Caliraised. Been looking at them for a little while and once the 15% off in November came up on their site I pulled the trigger.

Nice pics of Firebreak and the FJ's! +1 for sliders/clearance on that trail. I made it through almost too easily (boast), but used the sliders more than a few times, putting them into berms on the off-camber tight sections (quite tight, indeed). The twisty sections in the woods were worse than the rocky sections with a big butt truck IMHO.

Those Badger pics are rad, too.

Here's a pic of the sensor relocation results (and the most over-engineered bumper ever with the most parts that don't work for the actual install). Dude came back to the shop today so I snapped a pic.

    upload_2020-11-11_19-48-9.png

Personally, I'd rather take that 70 series to the right, just me?
