Brought some NY peeps on their first Pines experience yesterday. @Checkers10160 takes the scuba award, but now needs advise on how to dry and clean the carpet in his truck...

 

The KEY recovery piece on this trip was those boots.

 

Certainly saved chess from taking his pants off and going swimming.

 

Cleaner to do it this way..

 

remove carpet and power wash, let it dry and replace. Use beach chair to drive while waiting

I’ve done it several times now. I’d say you can have it out in about an hour

 

remove carpet remove all insulation material. Reinstall driver and passenger seats to not throw codes for air bags drive truck untill floor is dry reinstall when dry

If anyone is interested in a wheeling club I am a member of the Keystone Cruisers. You don't need to have a Land Cruiser and there are some Tacoma, FJ members also. There are monthly runs and ride alongs. You do need a capable vehicle, at least a rear locker and 33" tires and 2" lift is recommended. There are runs at Rausch Creek and AOAA. It is a PA club but there are South Jersey members and other NJ members. Just an FYI in case you are looking to wheel your truck. Here's the iH8mud link where members plan and communicate. yeah, man. great day. glad to help. its sorta what you sign up for on any ride like that.

 

it’s honestly pretty easy. Seats, center console, trim panels. Nothing hidden that I can think of. An hour to an hour and a half seems reasonable. consider it a good time to do any wiring, sound deadening, short throw shifter, etc

 

I’ve subbed 3 times and never fully pulled the carpet. Pulled seats and propped up the carpet with 2x4 cut offs and used an fan to move air under the carpet. I think the second time I removed all the insulating foam.. Ive always mostly nosed into holes I couldn’t get out of so most of the water was at the peddles and at the front seats. I’m surprised my door speakers still work
