I just went from KO2's to Falken Wildpeak AT3... I drove in rain this past week and did not slide around the way I did with the KO2'S. The KO2's were great all around, but I found it to be horrible in wet weather. The KO2's were also a pain in the beginning to get them balanced. I did not have this issue with the Falkens. You should give them a look.

I believe the largest size you could install is 255/85R16 (which is 33" tall skinnies). I'm currently running Cooper ST Maxx in that size on TRD Pro wheels. They are amazing tires on the trails and highway; not the noise of MTs, but more aggressive that a standard AT.

    Just another option.

Well tbh I'm not quite sure the difference between wheel spacer and spacer lift. I would assume spacer lift, but I'll have to look into it.
Also thanks I'll check out those tire suggestions.

Thanks yes I like these. I wonder if the 285's would fit after I add a spacer lift.

I've heard these have more issues with balancing than the K02'S. No experience with them though.

Thanks I really like this suggestion. I do like the wider tire look so would probably go with 285 over 255.

Does anyone have any info on Nitro Ridge Grappler Tires? They're a little more pricey than what has been listed here so far but look great and I can't find a negative review on them.

Mine balanced just fine. No shaking steering wheels like I had with the KO2's. Smooth and quiet as glass

Cooper ST MAXX. I've got 30K miles on my most recent set. Handle great on and off road. Never had a problem in snow.

How are these 4S's compared to the goodyears that came with the OR? Any dip in MPG?

I love the internet. The greatest source of bad information known to man. Coopers are cheap tires. You get what you pay for. BFGs are as good if not better in wet conditions than anything out there. Now pretty much any new tire is going to be better than an old tire so it would make sense that someone would say that new Flakens were better than their previous BFGs. My person favorite internet ubran legends. 1. the chalk test for air pressure 2. Roadforce balancing solves all vibration issues (thanks to the fucktard Gadget from URD). 3. PB Blaster is the miracle lubricant 4. JB Weld bonds everything 5 BFGs are not good in wet or mud.

Minimal hit to MPGs, but I also went up 1 size from 265/70 to 265/75r16. My guess is less then .5mpg if you stayed stock size vs stock Goodyears.

Just put 265/75/R16 KO2s on my TRD/OF with factory suspension. They do well on the highway, and do a good job sticking on the trail. Can't go wrong with the classics.

My vote is for Ridge Grapplers in 285/70/17. Heres my pro with a 2.5 inch lift front and rear. 94461280-519B-487C-8804-3B95A103462D.jpg

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
I did the 285s KO2s in C load, 51 lbs. You will have barely any change in Mpg. I have ran them for 7 years in different sizes and have had no issues in the rain. Great all round tire.

    Agreed.
When I lived in CO, I did some shopping around between KO2s & GO15s. What I found/heard, was that the KO2s were much better in the mud, but the GO15s excelled in the snow. I didn't do any off-roading at that point, so I went with the Yokohamas. After several winters in the mountains I liked them so much I bought another set!
Yokohama also has a newer Geolandar X-AT GO16 that looks much more aggressive than the GO15, but I don't know much about it.
Basically, I think you should consider Yokos...they don't get much love, but I think they're greatly underrated!
