I have 3/16 steel and it takes hits random times. Certain parts of the skids have bent. Sliders are also steel bars and have hit and been dragged but still good. I would stay away from aluminum if you plan on doing any wheeling. You will always hit something when you least expect it.

They look the same as the Amazon ones I bought at literally half that price earlier this year...

They all look pretty similar. Not sure if this is one of those things that can be lowest price wins or not. I suppose use once and destroy is fine if you only need it once but multiple uses would be nice. I definitely can't justify $300-500 though. I'd also probably be more likely to use in winter (without breaking) but most don't list that capability.

Comparing against @llamasmurf's MaxTrax clones, the Chineseium boards have half the material thickness. They'll probably last a few uses, but not the 50+ uses Wes put his through...

Compare the roof height relative to Greg. He kept the truck surprisingly low while packing 43" tires and Dynatrac 80 axles under it.

Anyone know which TPMS sensors are for these rims? And perhaps where I can get a decent set without having to pay $60 each?

I believe they are different from the ones on the OEM alloy rims. Those are the steelers from a second Gen I believe.

    Thanks

To my understanding tpms are universal fit. But
$60 each? The trd gen ones are like $25 at the stealership. Atleast thats what i paid for mine o_O

Question. About adjustable UCA and LCA. Any recommendations that would still work with the stock struts and spring but i can make room for a larger set like a billy 6112 or something?

I might just do the adjustments and get it ready for a lift...
But this is also me bored out of my mind at home waiting for the truck to have the recall dealt with

Before I got the tires my mechanic mentioned how much OEM from Toyota TPMS sensors were and was like 60 each one!
Even looking online, usually around 60 and per unit. Not a set..

Also there are different ones for steel and alloy wheels, then there's ones with a different degree of angle...

I may just run without at this point but I'd rather have them

I would say for most people the chineseium boards would be ok. My cheap boards lasted me 2 seasons of pretty hard use, but they exploded on the 2nd winter season of true hard use.

Id say I manged to get 12 or so recoveries out of my cheap boards.

Ass sploded boards, all 4 of em.

If you want to put 6112 or similar stock LCA is sufficient for that use. UCA any brand works as long as it has ball joint style, doesn’t matter really beyond that.

It’s when you plan on mid travel or LT you better start looking into LCA. But again, I don’t see you running big tires on your truck :duh:

When I did mine a year and a half ago, the place I went to got the sensors from the local stealership. They only cost me an extra $50 or $60 for the full set of 4 by them getting directly from Toyota.
