I finished the install of the heated seats. What a pain the in the ass. Everything worked first try so that was nice. Some pics of how I wired and mounted my fuse panel.

Edit - Yeah my water bottle is nasty. Mostly chalk from the gym.

Why 2 taps? Only the BLUE (#8) is bringing IN the power from the 40A fuse...Illumination?

You skipped the last few posts didn't you, @caribe makaira :) Yes, switch illumination (hopefully it's in the right slot).

I’m on the slowest possible plan it seems. I only get a little bit of time here and there due to childcare responsibilities. Currently waiting on a second ground bus bar for those. Then I need to tap my dsim dimmed illumination feed from the A pillar for switch illumination. Hacked up my seat heater wiring harnesses since they had grounds tied together and in-line fuses.

Mmm--why? You didn't like the illumination wire from the Towing Connector?

And technically I'm probably over the 40 amp fuse on the brake controller and my 50 amp maxi fuse at 52.5 amps total combined fused rating but the 5's are for the switches (maybe I go down to 1's or 2's there) and I could drop to 5's for USB power (one blue sea round usb power plug, two toyota oem usb outlets). Maybe this is a good time to do that.

My switches are a little different, a dial which goes down/up vs the low/high rocker but otherwise the same basic thing.

No tan (dimmed ground). If I'm taking the time to run illumination from the kick panel I'm going to do it with a dimmed ground as well.
I assume there's no difference/benefit on the parking light feed between trailer brake controller and A pillar DSIM harness tap?

Nope just that there's no beige dimming as you mentioned.
The nearest illumination and dimming wire could be the Cargo Lamp switch...

Oh yeah, any details on the heater pads themselves? At this point I'm thinking I'll wait and do them with clazzios sometime next year, but if it isn't so bad under the factory cloth I could be convinced to try that part. For now I just have the harness feed coming out under the seat.

    Nice install!

Taking off the covers and putting them back on is a pain in the ass. It's not hard its just time consuming. They work great under the seats but if I had to do it again I might splurge for the heated Clazzios and be done with it.

Do you have these switches? This is what I bought originally but they light up green and don't look as factory to me. So I bought another kit with the rocker style switch since to me it looks more factory. Still have the dial set. Got them from Amazon warehouse for like 20 bucks...

Yeah, those are the ones I have. Darn you for making me re-think that plan :) I'd imagine the rocker style harness is different too...

I wonder if it'd be possible to swap out the LED or put some film on it, though green to blue doesn't seem like something which would be easy with a tint.

Oh, and you can get the clazios with the heater pads pre-installed? That could save some time.

EDIT: Re-checked and their heated options seem like add on kits so don't see how they differ?

Funny enough I bought some blue headlight tint for exactly that reason. I was going to try to put it over the LED to turn it blue before I decided to just get the other kit. And yeah, the harness is different. It has 2 relays instead of that little controller box. And to be honest it looks much better made. Thicker wire gauge and better covered.

You add the heat elements to the inside of the new covers that you slip on. So no reason to take the stock seat covers off with the Clazzio.
