    Hello,

I created this because I am looking to buy my first new vehicle ever with my eyes locked on the 2021 Tacoma. I have been checking out different trims and such the last few days, but having a hard time on deciding which to go with.

I have never invested in something so expensive before and I want it to be right. No buyers remorse.

I am really wondering if its better to just get a SR5 vs the off-road or even the Pro, then upgrade it myself? Or is the price toyota is asking for the upgrades from the SR5 to these better models worthy?

I also have been getting lots of mixed info on the AT vs MT. I don't want to be dealing with another crap AT as the last few vehicles I owned have had bad AT issues. I am comfortable with MT and even prefer it most times. Does the MT have the "crawl" feature, or is that even possible?

I apologize for asking so many questions as my first post. This city is going to start another lockdown type deal and I don't want to be caught trying to buy a truck during that.

I have been leaning towards the off-road if that helps, and the only reason I haven't just done it yet is the price. I had 35 in mind but the trim packages I have been shown for the off-road put it more around 44.

I sincerely appreciate any solid advice anyone might have. I never imagined this being so hard.

I would recommend the TRD vs the Pro, and with upgrades you’ll still be way under the cost of a Pro. I like my AT, but I live in northern VA where there’s a lot of stop and go and I’d hate that in a MT.

On my 4Runner I went the Offroad route instead of the pro, but there isn't really a wrong way to go imo.
