Yes I realize this is a Tacoma Forum. However, I've been eyeballing this old Bronco. Not sure of year but I was wondering if anyone might have an idea of value ?

    You don't have enough money.

They could conceivably charge you $10K for the hulk, and restoring it will be a sizable chunk approaching six figures.

funny but true....... unfortunately for those wanting to buy old broncos, people want a fortune for them.... and to get it running proper will be another fortune.... rebuilding a ford 351w for my '84 ski boat....not cheap....

Value on EB’s is very subjective. The prices people are getting for them is insanity. You can build one of these from all new sheet metal and put the glove box on it (vin is here) and sell it for 50 k or higher. What’s it worth?? They could ask 4K and probably sell it in a day running or not. Most people yank the straight 6 and put in a 351 or fuel injected 5.0. Offer 1500 and talk about hunting. The owner cared enough to cover the window and probably used it for hunting. Bronco owners are for the most part a different breed.

    There is never enough money

My understanding is that the owner is retired and relaxing somewhere in Arizona

Nup, I don't have that kind of money

Thx. It would definitely be a project car

Judging from the inline 6, it's one of the earlier years of production, 66-70-ish. Agree with the above that price is subjective based on a lot of factors. Does it run? How's the rust- check the rocker panels, door jambs and inner fenders where they meet the firewall.

Rockers on Broncos is made from beer can material and always rust off. The good thing is these are square boxes and very easy to work on. Up here in New England that would be considered “nearly rust free”. Also, does not appear to have side marker lights making it 69 or older. These early ones had a Dana 30 front axle which is slightly weaker then the dana44 in 71 on (not sure on year).

Cars like that aren't a question of money. Money isn't your limiting resource there. The three questions you should be really asking are:

1: Are you experienced enough at welding to patch up the body yourself?
2: Do you have the physical space to completely disassemble that vehicle and leave it in that state for >2 years?
3: Is your marriage strong enough to survive a project car?

In that case, tow it home, inflate the tires, sandblast the paint, then sell it as is for a $3000 upcharge. If you tear into it much more than that, all I can say is welcome to your new money pit.

I bought mine for $700 in 2000 and used it as a yard plow for 5 years. I have to hide it behind the garage because people are always trying to buy it and it is rusted af. If you can buy it, do so. Company’s are going around and buying them up all over the country just for the vins.pre 74 broncos go to Cali because of smog type stuff that they are exempt from.
