Lol budget would be like $75-$125 bottle. Really though that's not bad as scotch can get pricey.

A decent 12 year is usually around $60 ish which is pretty cheap in my opinion.

 

Definitely I need to go to a good bar to try some of these things before just jumping into a bottle.

 

Been resting a little over a week and I am feeling so fuckin lazy. I am starting training again tomorrow doing 3 days a week of essentially only squat and bench movements.

Feeling like I'm missing valuable competition prep time though.... I need to work on press and deadlift but can't do either right now.

 

Ohhh scotch, something I actually know something about as compared to fitness.

I don’t know that I’ve ever heard someone describe bourbon as less sweet than scotch but there you go.

do you like smokey? If yes try a benromach peated as a start. If you really like smokey, any of the Islay whiskies would do. Bunnahabhain being the least intense and something like a Laphroaig being the most intense.

if you like bourbon, a sherried whisky like an older Glenfarclas or Glendronach might do the trick too.

if you want something a little more neutral, Deanston has been doing good things lately.

and my fave of the sort of available whiskies is the Springbank 12 year old Cask Strength.

but go to a whisky bar and try stuff. Start with light and end with peat or your palate will be fucked.

I do not like smokey.

I do need to branch out and try different things and find some good whiskey bar to taste different things.
I don’t like it when I don’t like something. I have to keep trying till I find what I do like.

Like I still need to try Hendricks to see if that a gin that wont make me gag lol

 

Got hammered at a wedding last weekend on Hendricks gin and tonics. Very little juniper/pine needle taste.

 

Alright I’m adding it to my list.

 

Fuck yeah! Hendricks is the best. It has a more light cucumber taste than pine needle. @PackCon you'll like it.

Did your doc give you muscle relaxors?

My bursitis which is more in my inner calf below the knee hurts a tad but I keep getting annoying ass twitching/spasms in my hamstring. Muscle relaxors are all I can to get it to stop.

Its not painful just annoying.

 

Yep. Muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatory meds and anti-inflammatory cream.

 

Was able to get pretty close to my normal routine today. By next week I should be fully recovered.

Was able to hit the elliptical for 5 minutes today.

I hope I can get back to more cardio soon or I’m gonna get pretty fat pretty quick.

 

Well. About that time to get some stupid high stim preworkout. Gonna have to start waking up at like 2am to train. Gotta love having a baby lol

Honestly it's Shaw's to lose. He is set up perfect to win his 5th. If he doesn't do it now he never will.
