If you're wanting to plant shade trees, now is the time of year to do it. My local power company will even offer $50 rebates on every shade tree planted to a maximum of 5 trees. Worthwhile checking out.

@FishnTx , first order of business is painting that garage floor. Great for keeping down the dust.

 

We gets full sun as well. But Bermuda is what came with purchase. Watering restrictions are horrible here in the summer. Once a week for 4 hours. Nobody abides but if you don't have good neighbors ...

 

I always wondered what a shade tree was. It sort of implies that there are trees that provide no shade whatsoever.

Even a post has some shade.

 

So here in San Antonio, they are basically Live Oak, Texas Red Oak etc. There was an approved list of 19 different trees to choose from. They all grow tall and provide a wide canopy.

 

Not at night, or high noon.

 

Gotcha

 

Not worthwhile mentioning the amount of shade it provides.

Plenty of people here use umbrellas in the summer, not because it's raining ...
