I have a 2017 Tacoma trd 4x4 lifted 3 inches it rides super stiff
Idk what it is but the truck is super squeaky and I can’t seem to find the issue. I have uniball ucas that I’m about to change for some spc!I also wanna lower the back a bit how do I know what leafs to remove from the leafs springs. Any help would be appreciated

What is the spring rate of the front coil springs?

Do you have an aftermarket steel bumper, winch, or any other weight added to the truck?

Usually the sound is the upper control arm bushings, thats the only squeak that I have after upgrading my whole suspension. Idk what yours are made of but I know the Poly bushings are loud.

Something simple, was everything tightened under load or in the air?

Tri-flow the hell out of the bushings and that ball joint. Give bushings and rear springs a good dose as well. Repeat every 3-4 weeks...

Did you grease the UCA bushings before tightening down the UCA bolt? Sometimes if it’s torqued down grease can’t get out to the washers.

lube up the Uniball with some dry-flo.

I have the same setup on my 2nd gen

I’ve greased everything with try flow. Everything was done at a shop. I went back and they want me to return my uniball ucas and get spc that don’t squeaky as much. And no I don’t got not bumper or anything in the front. Pretty much all stock but the suspension. I got a whole new leaf spring set up and my ass end sits up to high and it’s stiff! I want to remove two leafs anyone know what ones I should remove the bottom two?

What is a more comfy suspension than stock? I am looking for more comfy, and less nose dive when I step on the brakes. My mom don't like my taco because she's old and she says it isn't comfortable at all, even when I brake gently.
Every suspension out there, Fox, Bilstein, Kings, are made with off-road use in mind. Is there anyone who makes shocks with comfort in mind?

I have almost the exact same setup. It’s the uniball mainly but it’s just what comes with the territory on this setup. I just deal with it. As far as the stiffness, your preload is a bit much. For the best ride quality that collar should have no more than a 1/2 in of threads showing and be no more than 21 in from top hat to bottom bolt. I also wouldn’t remove any leafs.

So my ass end sits way higher than my front end. I wanna lower the front to get ride of some pre load off. How will I manage to lower the back so the truck can be level without having to remove any leafs. The leafs I got with my kit are so burley! It’s give me almost 4 inch lift in the back

Everything will most likely settle a bit. I would assess after a little while. Which leafs did you put in there? You could always just add some weight lol

Damn. Yea I would pull a few out if possible but it might be easier to just swap out the pack all together for a lighter one.

Any reason for choosing the expo leaf springs if you have no weight in the back? If you're going to load up the truck for expeditions, then keep the springs as is, but if you aren't ever going to have much weight back there I'd swap the leaf springs for something meant for stock loads/weight.
