All Pro's are still being built in San Antonio and some manual transmission trucks but as of 2021 all Tacoma production is moving to Mexico.

Thanks for the info. I can't understand it. My specs are very close to yours: TRD Off Road, DC, 6-speed manual, built about 5 days after yours and being delivered a month after yours.

So I have an order that I placed a while ago. Truck is finally getting built tomorrow. Dealer sent me the vin, I punched it in and it says it has the MTM. I specifically said I dont want the MTM. Now the price jumped about $900. Is this something I should be able to fight down when the truck gets here? Should I just fight in some free accessories? What are yalls thoughts?

Ask your salesman for a pic/screenshot of the Dealer Daily for your truck 'order'. This will show actual and estimated date progress. If he/she isn't willing to do that, then I would think something is fishy. I just text my salesman and he is quick to take a pic and text back to me. My salesman is great on communication.

Found a army green base model TRD Off Road 4x4 (no tech, chrome bumper, no LED bed lights, no steps) at $39.1k and was able to get them down to $35.3k.

Now to decide between that and a SR5 trail edition 4x4 at $38.7k down to $35.4K.

I like the wheels on the trail edition more (I would actually keep them), but it’s hard to pass up on all the extras that the TRD off road offers. I do hate the fact I’m gonna have to get bumper caps and black them out or paint them green. I like the grill on the off road and would actually keep it.

I’m sure the TRD off road will be more sought after in the long run.

I wouldn't worry about the chrome bumpers. I plasti-dipped mine on my SR5 and 6 months later they are still holding up without any scratches. If you want to put the bumper caps on, you can get them for $100. You can get the LED bed lights for $70 - $85 from the dealer and install them in 5 minutes. The steps will be a few hundred and take 30 mins to install, they will probably go on sale for Black Friday. If you want the OR go for it and buy the accessories afterwards for a lot cheaper.

just wonder if i intend to replace the rear bumper for a bigger/beefed one version, should I actually NOT to get the technology package as it seems a waste (with the sensors installed on the rear bumper)?

Deposit placed. I would have liked to get a slightly better deal, but it seemed like what I wanted was unobtainium. Debating waiting it out, but with that not being a guarantee I'd rather be able to focus my energy on other things.

    They told me 8-9 weeks.

‘21 DCSB OR 4X4 6MT. Pretty much base model (for an OR) plus a few small dealer add ons (wheel locks, floor mats, tailgate lettering etc).
    $36,600 OTD.

I did what you suggested and it did not go well at all, with my salesman alleging that I was accusing him of lying — believe me, I asked as diplomatically as possible. Then he asked if I wanted my deposit back. I gave him an emphatic “NO” and told him he would not hear from me again until December. He did tell me that the system said,”Quality Confirmation Hold, no Dealer ETA update available yet.” At this point I am not making an issue about his overreaction, but it will be addressed on delivery day.

Wow! Your salesman is a, well, some dirty word comes to mine. If my salesman did that, I'd take my business elsewhere. My guess is that he ISN'T telling the truth and come December, something else will pop up, delaying your vehicle. I'd talk to management or someone else, especially if you already have the VIN.

Actually, he must be in a better mood today and sent me some screen prints. In one part of the screen print it says “vehicle sale is stopped.” At this point I continue to take the salesman at his word. The fact is that he did send me the screen print this morning. I have 2 months invested at this point and do not want to start over.

Good luck. Mine should arrive tomorrow. My salesman is off today otherwise I'd ask him for another update. I just 'hope' with mine being so close, that I don't get the 'sale is stopped' like you did. I would be PO'd.

Ok. I'm in Southern CA. $36,600 for that here seems unobtainable. I'm looking for 2021 TRD Sport Double Cab Long Bed. Would totally take 2021 TRD OR Long Bed as well though. . .

i agree. 36.6k OTD is not doable in So. Ca. I would be happy if get the TRD OR DCSB (may be look for a LB) for 35k before TTL

I got a print off from the dealer for a manual OR 4x4 DCSB for $37,976. Army green, LED headlights, Exhaust Tip, Mudguards and a Roof Rack, before any incentives - in Central VA. Any thoughts on this price? This sounds like the perfect truck for me except for the chrome bumper and the lack of a tonneau cover.

I think that's a great price. Don't let a minor thing like a chrome bumper or lack of a tonneau cover stop you from getting the truck you want. After all, you're the one whose going to be looking at it in the driveway everyday, and it's not like you can't address those two minor annoyances at a later time. After incentives it will look even better.

Aftermarket tonneau cover will also most likely be better quality than OEM.
