My tires are wearing down and I was shopping around for tires. Does anyone know where I can find a 285/75r16 tire that's load range C ? 6 ply? Or at least load range D. I just don't want the tires too heavy and I feel that load range E 10ply is overkill

TRD Pro suspension with Headstrong 3 Leaf AAL, DV8 OR front slimline bumper & Engine Skid Plate, RCI OR high clearance bumper, CaliRaised Trail Edition Sliders, Spidertrax 1.25" Wheel Spacers, 265/75 16 GY Duratracs, wrapped the OEM wheels, OR Roof Rack, Extang Exceed Hard top Tri fold tonneau.
I haven't found a discernible difference in handling performance between a C Load and E Load tire. Probably a more important question is whether or not the 285/75 16's will fit without rubbing issues. What type of lift do you have at present? Any wheel well modifications?

You might want to confirm they will fit, your wheel offset will also make a difference.

That tire weighs as much as a lot of E rates tires.

Lifting a truck doesn’t help with fitting a larger tire. What happens when you compress your suspension? It’s going to be at the same location you were before the lift. So if not strictly staying on smooth roads then lifting a truck isn’t going to help with fitting a larger tire.

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
There are not a lot of choices when it comes to C or D in that size Thats the one good thing with a 17 inch wheel, few more options for lighter tires in that size.
