To all those instagram model Tacoma’s and TR4s with every possible “overlanding” mod and accessory driving around town perfectly clean and perfect paint jobs, I call bullshit. Seriously.

My clean truck just shows all the fucking pinstripes.

 

Hey Man! The Walmart parking lot is a dangerous place.

 

In fairness, one of the guys that used to wheel with the Florida Tacomas group used to detail and wax the shit out of his truck before every outing. His paint was immaculate while the rest us had our trucks scratched to shit.

 

I was thinking about that the other day after trying in vain to get my truck clean of the mud!
I'm looking into creating a magnetic style removable decal to put on before doing any off-roading.

 

Installed the frame caps under the front bumper (forgot to take photos)

changed out gas tank straps thanks to @geekhouse23



Moved my compressor to its final home



Starting to clean/organize the garage over the winter so I can do more and I installed new lights





and we’ve started upgrading @geekhouse23 electrical wiring

 

From what I've seen so far, the most off-road blinged trucks out there are the least likely to ever go off road. I was out this weekend with my stock SR5 and I had no problem staying with the other guys, and those guys were using actually useful upgrades as opposed to the shiny stuff you often see.

 

Man. I keep thinking how nice it would be to move somewhere with more than two seasons, then I see the rot some of you guys have to deal with on your rigs. No thank you.

 

Installed the Goose Gear rear seat delete in my AC.

Painted the entire frame with Eastwood’s Platinum paint. Woolwax goes on this weekend by Jason in Taunton MA

That looks fantastic! Is there a center support where the two halves bolt together? I’d like to do this on one side and keep one seat in my AC.

I found out what the issue was. If you go into settings and press “display off”, the image will be on screen until you shut the truck off or turn the radio on.

 

Something along those lines would work

 

Painted my fender flares today with raptor liner. Was sick of the scratches from branches and shopping carts!
