    Still learning here. I have the ovtune flash manager installed and for the ECU calibration it says 04B02. I don't have my Tactrix cable yet will be here Friday. All the reading I've done I see people with 2016-2017 Tacoma's they have ECU 04B04. Will this update to 04B04 when I connect to my truck? I have a 2016 TRD 3.5L Automatic.

    You have to use Techstream to update. It’s not hard to do and you can use the same tactrix cable. There’s a thread with instructions on how to do it. Here:

    Hey bud, I just started a few weeks ago, and though my 2017 was already on 04B04, I got the chance to update a buddy's 2017 from 04B03 to 04B04 already. Super simple. Feel free to ping me if you have questions. Once you get TechStream up and running, the .cuw file you want (called T-0034-18.cuw) is attached here, to save you some time digging through that long ass post on instructions. That gets all the 2016-2017 ATs up to 04B04.

    Honestly, I don’t even know where to start. There should be a sticky for that. It’s a bit overwhelming just looking at it lol.


    I requested the tune pack via zendesk but got nothing yet. only got stock tune on file that initially came with unlocking my ecu.

    Thanks again @PapaRee and @DownhillDragon for the help! I got the Techstream installed awaiting my cable. @inksin I've got some time to kill so yeah I'll finish reading the thread...after reading over 4000 post on the ovtune what another 180. :D

    Are there any pre-setup tunes designed for the 4.0L 2nd Gen's? I don't see where anything is available from OV. Keep in mind I'm a novice when it comes to this, so I am not exactly comfortable tuning myself.

    I have no solution. It sucks! Just sucks less with the current tune. I still use cruise control, but don’t like it!
    As soon as we get access to those maps, I’ll fix it.
