    3" lift,
im brand new to this sit but from the little i have read i am thoroughly impressed. my mission is to have a 3 inch lift using ultra Goliath wheels 18/9 and using mickey thompson baja atz 33s. my problem is that i dont know what lift to get(its a prerunner and will never leave the street)i dont understand how tire size works(which tires will fit the 18/9 wheels) and unfortunataly i just dont know if it is possible.
PS. not afraid to cut to fit and just for looks so trying to go cheap thanks guys

Why are you lifting a truck that will never see a need for the lift? (IE: never take it off the street)

Pretty sure he didnt ask to get opinions on if he should lift or not... dunno why people do that so much here... not everyone rock crawls... so annoying... :crapstorm:

Anyhow, with the lift, are you looking to also have a smooth ride or does it not matter at all?

If it doesnt matter, there is plenty options that people way more knowledgeable than me can post, but I guess these would come in the form of spacers and such.

If it does matter, you could just get a complete setup that goes from the front shocks and springs to the rear leafs. I personally im getting raised about 2 to 2 1/2 with the OME kit im buying.

    3" lift,
having a smooth ride is not to important. how rough can it be driving to and from work. it all is going to matter on price unfortunately

that would be your best bet. 4" lift, but keeping the stock geometry (ie downtravel and softer ride)...but you mention price, so i doubt you will want to deal out the $1100 you need to for the spindles. hopefully you dont cheap out and go w/ a spacer and trim packer, as this will give you 3", but i can almost guarantee you will rub adn you will have a rough ride, as you will have nearly no downtravel...

Just want to fit 33's? get a spacer lift for about $200.

I'd say forget about all that mess and just get a 32" tire (275/65-18)... a 32" will fit without any modification.

Do those wheels you want have any offset? will they stick out or be centered?

That's the right question to be asking. OP, you noted they are 9" rim. They should have -12mm offset if you want to fit 33's.
