My buddies Yellow Lab ate an entire flat of Costco muffins on day one of a four day camping trip. Also no effect.

 

All foods must go to the Labs for testing. And no one in his party was sickened by the muffins, were they?

 

Body weight and cocoa content play a big role. The darker the chocolate the worse it is for them. We’ve lost one and had to do a charcoal treatment for the other. First was a Keeshond who got into the Christmas candy. Then ran to the window to bark at passers by. He dropped dead mid bark. That dog was the Bain of our existence...the year before he ended up at the vet because he ate the Christmas lights off the tree. Second dog was a Jack Russell mix who ate a small bag of dark chocolate m&m’s.

 

It's a scary thing to think how much human food is bad for dogs. Avocado, Apple, Grapes are all bad-but only if they get the seeds. Cacao is bad for dogs but a small piece of Hostess Chocolate Cupcake, not so much (I wouldn't feed Riley one).

Always pays to keep up with the stuff in your yard too.

 

Mr. Squinty Eye's is ready for bed. Anybody else vacuum their comforter?

 

If we don’t our little pup sheds a new dog every other day...haha good thing she’s cute!

 

The look of shame is priceless. My friends German Shepard did a similar thing Christmas last year. He took a 22lb raw prime rib off the counter while everyone was distracted visiting in the living room. Proceeded to eat 90% of it and then puke it up on the living room floor in front of all his guests.

 

Scary how much dog food is bad for dogs

 

Let's face it, for the first year or two most dogs are one step up from a raccoon. My dog ate everything including a box of tile grout.

 

They are soooo happy its wood stove season

 

Oh yeah...back in the day I had a dog that would debark live trees and eat the bark.
